U are 22 u have ur entire life ahead of u yes it might be tough right now but be positive. This time of year is shitty for a lot of people as it puts extra pressure on us. We automatically feel the need to conform and when we find we can't well we get depressed and unhappy.

Take one good thing in ur life focus on it and take it from there work on making more positives in ur life. Join something free for instance maybe do some volunteer work I know it won't at but it will get u out meeting other people and that's all good. Things will happen for u and I'm sending a lot of happy energy ur way. Set urself a goal for ten yrs time and work towards. Be happy it's free

There's stages in everyone's life where times are really tough buddy. Nobody gets it easy and if you want something, there's nothing better than setting yourself a goal and achieving it. Only you can change things. Never give in. There's always a brighter side. Your only 22 remember. Iv always found that if times are tough, a good run clears my head and gets me thinking positive. It's good to stay active as it sort of takes your mind of things a bit. Work out exactly what you would like to do with your life and set yourself goals. Work towards them and you will not look back. Remember though, You are never on your own. There's always family and friends to talk to. Good luck buddy and happy Christmas!!!!

Sorry there is the prospects of further education.. there is voluntary work..that can often lead to a job.. there is a roof over your head.. there is your family.. sorry having no car is not a problem... if your feeling that down go seek help this is not the place for it.. the doctor can help.. or your family but sorry fab forums aint the place for help..

Every year we lose young men to suicide because they feel hopeless and helpless. We all blag on about what a shame it is and how if they had only spoke out, looked for help, found a guiding voice. We can't offer him the "PROFESSIONAL" help he seems to need if that's your thinking.

We all have problems I have a list as long as your arm but to come onto an adult swinging site and air them in public is not the way to deal with them.

I nearly typed just two of my problems that are life threatening to family members but you don't want to hear them. We all have problems but to be honest there are people out there who are better equipped to deal with them, this site is NOT the place for it.

My words may seem harsh but to point somebody in the right direction is the "Right" thing to do we are not counsellors or welfare workers as we all have our own burdens to carry

Please show me where I said this person was a scammer I did not use the word scammer as you can very clearly see. I take offence to people indicating that I said something that I clearly "DID NOT" say. And I did also wish this person a "Merry Christmas" to lighten up the mood as can also be clearly seen.

Dude, do a fas course, go to college, do some volunteer work. Do something now so that when the country starts to get back on its feet you can turn things around. Things are tough back home, they are for everyone, but you're surrounded by friends and family, things will be okay

Like you know me so, now you think because I make some post's based on the reality of life that you can make a judgement on me. So it's Ok for you to judge me, have I insulted you or called you names?

You see this is typical in these forums you express your opinion and because people disagree with it you get personally attacked and you want to talk about maturity.

Not makes it better but you should know it indicates not to be taken seriously you know the web by now and know when somebody puts LOL after any comment the comment is not meant to be taken seriously.

Do you think the person who started this post really cares? Considering he made the post 20 odd hours ago and has not logged in to see if anybody care's or is offering to help, and if the said person has done something (which I hope he has not of course goes without saying) to end his life then all this nonsense is just that "NONSENSE".

Being in the exact same position as this lad I know exactly how he feels and it is only worse in rural areas. If he is genuine which I think he is then does it really matter if he is just looking for attention?

It is such a serious topic that I don't think we can joke about it. As Irish we are fucked up enough and most do bottle our feelings to boiling point or worse!!!

He might have posted when he was pissed but most only talk with a few drinks in them. It probably is not the right place for him to look for help but that's not the point.

Sometimes people just want to have someone to talk to and I don't see why someone could not have privately messaged him just to offer support rather than berate him on here for possibly not being genuine or because to some people its not the right place to talk about such a topic.

When it comes to depression, hard time in your life or even just a bad day then anywhere is a good place to look for any support because too many people have taken their lives because they felt no one or nowhere could help them.

I would never cast judgment on somebody feeling sooo low in themselves I personally thought the comments were not funny and actually quite sick that is my opinion and I am entitled to it !!!! I hope the young lad and let's not forget he is wat 21/22 is ok and is finding comfort or help else where
