Life is always replete with various problems, of a greater or lesser nature, but the key to success in life is that you feel as if you're at least winning over some.

The cold is my biggest one at present, but that will pass in a couple of days as temperatures rise again to double digits and the more long-term issue of global climate change is evident, to everyone.

I'm enjoying the fresh cold spell while it lasts. what's to come might be worse. Carpe diem

Ideally improve the BER rating from a D. Just not sure I want the hassle of builders being in for ages . Otherwise at the moment things are in reasonable shape

Putting everything on the back burner. NCT over a year overdue. Need to get to the dentist, get my eyes checked, always putting everyone else’s needs before my own.

New year, new me

Having read that twice I've concluded that your knees are sore when you walk upstairs and not that the pain in your knees is now in your arse.

It's only a few days per year, but a parking heater is pretty cheap nowadays. About 100 euro and you can preheat your car without having to idle the engine. Even works on remote control

Strip down a cottage and rebuild it.

Put down concrete yard for my mother.

Set few hundred trees.

That would keep me going for a bit

My van needs repairs for the test, I blew the turbo in my “good car”. The shower pump shit itself and the wet vac calved as well.

Both my shoulders are in bits with torn rotator cuff’s and a bursitis on one. Knees are giving me pain and hips are stiff. I’m hoping that a few days off at Christmas will give me some relief.

Don't we all have practical problems, but at least we all are healthy to have fun

Didn't a Mrs on here who was part of a couple, pass on recently

Let's all try cheer each other up which can be a sad time at this time of year

Sorry if I offend anyone

Any day above ground is a good day all the small things will eventually get sorted

The most important thing is family and spending time with them, you never know when your number is up

So enjoy life we only get one shot

"Cat started juddering while driving today. One more thing to figure out"

Maybe your cat is just a nervous driver, or it got over excited to be in charge of a mechanically propelled vehicle and was having an involuntary orgasmic episode.

Could it be the sound of the hoofbeat of the horses under the bonnet.

Or the tiger in your tank being sloshed about when cornering or braking (showing my age)

Can you look at it the other way around...not that your apartment is too small for your stuff but that you have too much stuff for your apartment....then declutter everything

I did do this as I was moving in (only here with the last year). And it was actually therapeutic almost.

Perhaps another clear out may be in order!

My ex and her new partner bought a ginormous outdoor playhouse for my daughter, it is deadly to be fair but they had no way to put it together. I spent a few days over there putting it together with the little one helping me, I dragged the arse out of it to spend more time with her and have fun. Finished it yesterday

"I'm stuck in the closet lol"

Communication is key. You should have a frank conversation with your wife, Assuage any of her fears of you not being into her and tell her that sometimes you're going to be dressed up pretty for yourself

Vertical space is the most underused. Consider adding J hooks to hold utensils and pans, and subdivide shelves and presses to add extra shelves where the stuff inside isn't that high.

If all that isn't enough, buy a transit van and leave it in you parking space outside as a storage unit

"It's going to be one very wet and windy day; thank goodness I will be inside all day; but my roofleaks!"

You'd want to sort that out. The water that leaks into your living space barely matters, put down a bucket and do some mopping.

But the water that soaks into the roof timbers instead of dripping down will rot out your roof until it collapses
