Newry Down

I love a cold spell like this; it is vital for my fruit trees to have a period of very cold and frosty weather to make them go dormant and prepare them for the next growing season.

If they don't get this cold spell, it adversely affects them, as climate change will too: cold weather chilling will become less frequent and new cultivars (cultivated varieties) will be required that are better suited to the new climate

I found a tiny kitten yesterday afternoon. It's that small it fits in my hand.

I think it would of died last night or tonight with the cold.

It's only about 4 or 5 weeks old. Poor thing.

Found my last cat like that. He wouldn't have survived another night. Unfortunately two years later a joyrider finished him.

Give it a good home

I most definitely will. I'd love to keep it but I go away from home to work so it's not possible
