Well I usually like to put up quite a few Christmas lights every year ..... but what is the protocol this year with the price of energy and the Ukraine war, and cost of living ..... is it still OK to put up outside Christmas lights?

Just make sure you have modern LED high efficiency lights. They cost peanuts to run.

My outdoor lights up since last year, they on the last few evenings, do what suits you,

LED. Lights run about 10¢ an hour. So you get great value out of them. Over a month of Christmas lights,it's apparently ballpark €20 for the lights for the month for average household.

Solar powered is the way to go

They'll probably only light for about 4hrs but the kids will be asleep then

Solar here too. So Hassel free.

Even the battery ones on a timer are a good one. Don't use cheap batteries or you'll be changing them alot
