Baby chimp nearly died

Then when they were both recovered they got to meet each other for the first time

The most non-violent species of primate is the Bonobo; they frequently engage in sex to resolve and avoid disputes, their groups are ruled by matriarchs and they frequently walk upright.

Curiously they are probably the least filmed primate species.

Chimpanzees are definitely intelligent, but also very very violent; they engage in cannibalistic raids on nearby groups, whereas bonobos, the least known of the primates are caring but can be violent, if angered.

They are more like us than any other primate.

They avoid conflict where possible, whereas the chimpanzee relishes a fight.
