Why can’t people just be normal and reply as they see the posts and reply accordingly "

Because emojis are normal now, they’re seen as part of a message to communicate an emotion.

Personally I think they are a good idea as it may help to eliminate any disputes where a post could be read in a number of different ways……

That sounded a bit sarcastic didn’t it? Read it again below…..

I tried to copy some of the examples but they wouldn't seem to work for me The way I understand it a word in brackets should do the trick?

If you reply and quote any post with an emoji it will show you in the text what words to use. A heart is love in brackets

You have a space between the bracket and the start of the word and between the bracket and the end of the word. Lose the spaces and the emoji will work and then only certain words are programmed for an emoji. To put a red heart you have to type love in brackets, no spaces

I hadn't typed spaces so not sure how that happened! But think it was more the wrong word.
