Coq au vin. Bacon or pancetta, shallots,some chicken drumsticks and thighs, a little garlic ,thyme , passata,and a good glug of red wine . Best thing is while it's slowly braising you can drink the rest of the wine

Great special dish in the slow cooker is Beef Guinness stew. It's simple and straight forward to prepare and gives you lovely tender beef in a very rich, dark and flavourful sauce. Served with mash potato and some veg, you're onto a winner.

For cooking instructions ask google.
