Not sure that I consider myself as a swinger as such. I fit more naturally into the FWB mould and I love the add ons that that dynamic brings and it really suits me both physically and emotionally. Sometimes I feel that I don't belong here but Fab has been really good to me over the years

I left twice, deleted account ... always missed it so I came back, maybe I belong here. Just wish more meets would happen. I'm hampered by my own circumstances, married but here alone and can't accommodate....

Like many on here I don't see myself as a swinger.

My journey has been paused for almost a year due to ongoing health issues but I haven't really got started yet.

I can take or leave the social side of the site as well.

I have left a couple of times before thinking this site wasn't for me but since creating this profile 3½ years ago I've been playing by my rules and that helps avoid the potholes.

Yeahh times I think I've had enough only cause its like looking for a needle in a haystack to find people who into each other for me it's hard to read people and genuinely know if they are interested or just friendly...

And that's ok cause I love the social side of fab and if things come up for me I'd be happy to share after all sharing is caring! But definitely not the end of the world if it doesn't...

Am definitely 110% here for the swinging...if I wanted just one night stands with randoms I'd be on another platform..past all that finally found where I should be....

Swinging isn't for me , lm just here to meet a person who is on the same wavelength as me and enjoy whatever that brings , if l happen to meet that person well and good if l don't ..hey that's life..as regards this place a person knows themselves when they have had enough .

I'm not a swinger. Been here previously and was very lucky to have had fantastic experiences with a few great guys and one long term FB.

This time around, l'm here to try and find meet a person/persons who I connect with and just see what happens.

At the minute I take a step back and hide my profile when I get bored with Fab. One day, probably sooner rather than later, I will know it's time to leave for good.

It's a question we've mulled over recently as we're getting to "that age". I can't see us doing this in our 60s, no matter how youthful we might feel, and we don't want it to become a desolate wasteland.

We've always evaluated and re-evaluated since we started out along this path, and I imagine we'll continue to do that but with an eye on our age now too. I think we'll know once it feels like it has come to a natural end.

I know that's a really airy-fairy answer but it's the only way I can articulate it

Ive enjoyed the few years ive been here. Im not a swinger, but love to meet people, whether for chat, coffee, or to give a massage. Ive made some good friends, and thats important to me. Id like to attend more socials, locally but theyre sparse enough in the midlands.Ill carry on for another year.

Like others have said I don't consider myself a swinger. I joined here to tick some things off my bucket list and to find fbs or fwbs to explore with.

And to be fair my journey so far has been great found a great Fwb,and definitely discovered some kinks I didn't know I had when I joined.

I have met some amazing and yep some who weren't so amazing over the years.I enjoy the social side up to a point but it's not the main way for me to socialise in my life.

I enjoy the forum's and I pop in and out.

At the moment due to personal reasons I'm not meeting anyone new. And I am not actually sure if and when I will again or if I can be bothered anymore.Fab to me is just a way to pass some time and my life outside of here will always be a priority.How long I will stay I don't know only time will tell. But either way I'll do fab my way and if I meet others who I get on with along the way then great. If it stops being enjoyable I'll leave. It's a simple as that really.

We use fab as a means to an end - swinging. We are as active in this regard as our other demands in life allow.

We would be of the opinion that fab appears to be an end in itself for many on here. We’d often wonder and discuss why… our best guess is that these people are either voyeurs, and/or those with an insecurity (looking for some sort of online validation of a need to feel attractive) and/or those looking to satisfy a sense of community that may be lacking in their physical (non anonymous) life. There are probably other deep seated psychological reasons that attract non-active (faux swingers) to the site that we are unaware of.

If you can spend time on this website for prolonged periods of inaction on physical group sex encounters, without tearing your hair out, then, in our opinion, you’re not into swinging and it’s probably unhealthy for you to be on fab - we’re not experts on the human mind but it’s certainly cause to consult professional help for an opinion we would think.

Exactly this. When our real world gets in the way we just step away from here altogether. I get that for some there is a social media element to fab but when that side of it is all you can take from it I think it's an unhealthy window to look through.

Fab is a great utility for making contacts for the sites designed purpose but it's just a sponge for spare time and mental health if it becomes a go to click for any other purpose

I have a wishlist and preferences but equally I'm very much a realist. It's unlikely my ideal exists in one single individual and anyhow, life takes it's own path to a certain extent, there's a lot outside of my control or influence.

So I'll just keep moseying along in my quirky little way and devour & savour every morsel of pleasure, fun and enjoyment that comes by. I'm not here to swing or float between casual partners, just not wired to split or dilute my focus in that way. I'm here for a kink partner and the social side.

We're not guaranteed a tomorrow, I'm not going to be an idiot and miss out on all the great things right there in front of me today whilst waiting for some non-existent notion of perfection to materialise.

I settled before in the sense of choosing someone that wasn't a good match to my needs by picking solely with my head and I never will again. There's a difference though between that and accepting a person as they are and embracing their wants needs and likes even if they differ from your own, provided your needs aren't sacrificed to do so. Blending is how I see it, intertwining & respecting the two. Provided you are drawn together for the right reasons in life&love, not just on paper.

I'm excited tbh. Just having these days and options back again is a heady feeling

Ehhm fab journey is like the Irish weather…..Or like a penis, sometimes hard, sometimes soft, sometimes up and sometimes down. But it’s just like everything else in life. It depends on what you make of it.

One thing I love about fab it’s definitely its variety and diversity. That’s fun

How do you know when you've had enough: when you lose patience and/people aren't interesting to you.

If swinging isn't for you: could be a myriad of things but if you don't feel confident, liberated and intrigued by the people you meet or if, as others have written, it's taking over or causing unintended general life consequences.

These would be the signs for me!

We’ve toyed with this As a goal and have made some great friendships through meets but we enjoy meeting new people and having new experiences also so can’t foresee a retreat from fab anytime soon. We also look forward to being freer to travel to exotic places like Limerick and Dublin down the line, so fab will be handy for making connections there when the time comes!

Fab should be fun, when it stops being fun and a means to meeting people casually outside of real world or if it becomes obsessive then it means you’ve had enough.

Swinging part of it has been only one element of my Fab journey. Like Cereal said, it can be great when you’ve had a bad break up and aren’t ready to date again. I’ve been lucky to meet some amazingly interesting friendly people on Fab (inc posters here) I’d happily meet them again for a social or a chat with or without the swinging bit. Likeminded souls I think, Fab is what you want it to be. A means to an end, be that swinging, confidence inspiring, a diversion, a refuge, but aside from some, it’s mainly nice people who enjoy sex and being able to talk openly about their needs and desires with people who think the same way ish ! If you don’t want that then it’s not for you.

As a relative newbie, and an oldie, my journey on the Fab road has so far been mostly uphill making slow progress with lots of diversions down cul-de-sacs. I was considering giving up but as the saying goes " the old dog for the hard road"

Now that my problem with posting on forums has been sorted it looks like full speed ahead for another while.

(The saying quoted above and the mention of cul-de-sac's has conjured up a mental picture of dogging down dead-end country lanes.)

Just one of the adventures to be ticked off my list

Marriage or any other form of lifelong commitment to one individual was never for me, so swinging was the ideal option to choose to satisfy my transient need to placate my libido, as and when any potential opportunity arose!
