Listening and watching all types of media. Its crisis crisis crisis and more crisis.

Hard to get away from it. Difficult at times not to be impacted by it mentally....

Naas which is South West of Dublin

Sounds like you were lucky to have missed the recent pandemic if you’ve never seen it this bad.

What would you like to change?

Which is why I tend to ignore it.

Still wouldn't swap with the average peasant in the Dark Ages, although I do think humanity is approaching meltdown

No point in worrying about what you can't control.

I'm happily living in my own little bubble most of the time

Mrs.

That's what they peddle these days. Conflict, despair and dread. Unsubscribe from that shit. The media don't give a fuck about people - only their paymasters.

Very true. If you don't shut the projected narrative you are victimised until you do.

Well you are only in your early 40s, in the history of humanity it's not that bad, obviously could be better, but then again every generation would probably would say the same.

Kilkenny, but Dublin is more fun

Things are just going to get worse unfortunately.

What governments and media aren't telling ya is that our best case scenario regarding the climate is halting it at 1.5°C (conditions we haven't even seen yet) and it's likely impossible unless we have huge systematic change of how we organise ourselves as a species (this obsession with our little imaginary countries and the self serving jackasses running them included). Global supply chains will crumble, our overly sensitive domestic crops will fail in greater numbers, local conflicts over resources and arable land will likely increase, and the global north will have an influx of huge amounts of new refugees trying to flee inhospitable lands and conflict zones that puts the amounts we saw from Ukraine and even Syria to shame.

Time to start planning for the real world that exists outside this little fantasy world humans dreamed up inside reality. Many folk in the decades before the fall of ancient Rome likely thought everything was fine too.
