I would think everyone is different, I've plenty of cushioning on my bum but I bruise like a peach , would thing the type of paddle and force used would make a difference too.

If she that worried maybe use some arnica

Depends on how hard its done and how often can be anything from mins to a day in our experience. Personally we think that using something that will give in its shape works better eg leather rather than wood

Like it has been said, everyone marks up differently.

I bruise quite magnificently and fairly easily as I'm pale skinned. And happily the marks will last for weeks of fun flashbacks for me to savour. One of my favourite things about that kink tbh.

Only way to know hiw you'll mark up is to do it. Best to work up in progressive ways, starting off with lightly weighted spanks, etc and for a short time.
