"The motorways not so bad, it's that bollox of a road between Sprucefield and Newry that annoys me. " Is it quicker/ easier to stay on The M1 signposted for Dublin or come off at sprucefield to cut across to Dublin

"The motorways not so bad, it's that bollox of a road between Sprucefield and Newry that annoys me. It ends at the Ballygawley roundabout miles in the wrong direction. There are 2 junctions at Sprucefield and if you don't come off at the first you can at the second but that's as far as the signs for Dublin go.

"The motorways not so bad, it's that bollox of a road between Sprucefield and Newry that annoys me. " The road between spruce field and the border south of Newry is the A1, not the M1; because it is a dual carriageway not a motorway. It is one of the most dangerous roads in Ireland, because of the many intersections; and at Sprucefield and Hillsborough the many rounabouts, especially at the A101, to the Park and Ride. A lot of people have been killed, unnecessarily, on the A1. South of Newry, the M1 is first class, but the Port Tunnel can be very busy and is often congested. The truth is that when a new road is built, it rapidly reaches the limits of its capacity; this is a worldwide phenomenon.
