If you record, distribute or publish intimate images without the permission of the person featured in the images.

Not sure if receiving an unsolicited dick is considered illegal.just yet

Very difficult to police on a site such as this where more often than not the unsolicited nudes are being sent to people who have nude pics of themselves on their profiles so the legal lines are blurred.

Nothing to worry about if you don't send them though.

The legislation at moment xovers sending pics of someone without the persons consent, so if you sned me a dick pic and I send it to someone else it's illegal.

I'm not 100% sure about it all but think it's been a thing in the North for a while.

To rights this should of be done way before now.

For to long people have been using others in their pics without that person's consent.

Just reading further and there are conflicting reports. One says no prosecutions while another says there has been a successful prosecution. I know there was a hue and cry last year that because of Stormont dragging their heels it was having a knock-on effect on legislation.

There is some confusion here. There is the revenge porn passed some time ago, and then there is this new law which bans online flashing where someone is threatened or offended. 2 different laws

If its the advert that I seen that op is referring to there is 2 parts yo the legislation and one states if a person shares an intimate pic of another person without said persons consent to cause harm etc

And the second part is if a person is sent an intimate pic of another person without ehir consent but doesn't mean any malicious harm it is still an offence

Have been doing some reading up on it for work.

Thankfully it's about time something was brought into legislation unfortunately not enough people will report the incidents anyway but at least it's a start.

Someone sending me a pic of their own dick isn't illegal but if saud person shared a pic of your dick without your consent they are in bother

This. In all seriousness this does raise some questions about sending ANY unsolicited intimate pics of yourself. If someone takes offence then you potentially committed a crime. It remains to be seen how and when this might be enforced / prosecuted

It's a tricky one alright. All open to interpretation really. Especially in today's society where people seem to be offended by anything at all.

I didn't say it wasn't a new offence, just saying im thinking it might be a bit messy in a court situation, hence tricky, and if you've ever been in a court of law you'll have found everything is argued to a matter of interpretation.

As does fab.

It still baffles me that I can publicly post a pic of me fucking a random girl without fab looking for any proof of her consent.

They wouldn't let me post a pic of my PlayStation controller for a photo challenge

You can report and they should remove them. I'm not sure how the can request proof of consent unless both parties send a consent in. A good idea but would they implement it or if they did they'll need far more pic mods and better trained.

There is definitely content that I would find offensive if I was sent it. That's the test necessary to fall foul of this law. Agreeing to be on a sex site doesn't mean you waive the right to not be sent horrible offensive content

Fab quite simply need to improve their technology.

There are plenty platforms where have algorithms that block explicit content being send in dms unless you choose for it to be viewable from either friends or all dms.

That or state that joining implies consent to any and all explicit material.

But I can definitely see more liability on the part of websites and social media platforms down the line
