Little bit of light fun, name a movie quote and how it may be relevant to the Fab world.

"You taking to me?" - [Taxi Driver] *male reaction to any new message *

"I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse" [The Godfather] *said by a cheeky female*

"Made it, Ma! Top of the world" [white heat] *after the first verification on here*

"You can't handle the truth" [A few good men] *photo feedback not going so well*

"I'll have what she is having" [when Harry met Sally] *other women after reading a good verification*

"Houston, we have a problem" [Apollo 13] *You notice youve just been ghosted*

"Say hello to my little friend" [Scarface] *Dick pics*

"Mrs Robinson, you're trying to seduce me. Aren't you" [The Graduate] *The hopes and dreams of the younger men older women thread*

Pot bellies make a man look either oafish or like a gorilla. But on a woman a pot belly’s very sexy.

It's roide Sally roide if pronounced in a thick Dublin accent...as sung by Imelda Quirke and friends!! Great movie!!

I'm afraid I can't do that!

Hal's reply to Dave, the astronaut, in Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece from 1968: 2001-A Space Odyssey which is still highly regarded over 54 years after its release.

Hal, the craft's mainframe computer, the name of which was exactly one letter different from IBM, the principal US computer conglomerate of that era.

The quote could be applied to a variety of swinging scenarios:

Accidentally locked out on the hotel's corridor, whilst naked.

A request for ###!

In the film, HAL refuses to open the door hatch, to let Dave back inside the spacecraft, because he has read Dave's lips, and knows his true intentions.

Newry Down

Whilst Popeye Doyle's most famous quotes from the 1971 film, The French Connection, that was filmed in New York, rather than on the west coast, pertain to his ridiculous questions to miscreants, about whether they still pick their feet in Poughkeepsie, a city on the Hudson River in upstate New York, there are several that could be applied to swinging.

"Irv, that car is dirty!", which could be applied to dogging. The dirtiness of the Lincoln Continental car in the film refers to the facts that drugs are hidden inside it, in the sills.

"The frog made me", refers to the fact that the french guy, whom Gene Hackman is following, made it obvious that he knew he was being tailed in NYC.

This quote could be applied here on this site, where one fabber sees another, in real life, where later in the film, Gene Hackman, waves to the French guy, to return the compliment. Fernando Rey, the French actor actually got the part in the film by mistake.

Newry Down

In the British classic film, Two Way Stretch, from 1960, starring Peter Sellers, Bernard Cribbins, and David Lodge, amongst many others; Maurice Denham, the Prison Governor, indicates that he is very proud of the size of his marrow, to the female visitors, and the three ladies in turn confirm their admiration for the size of it, and that he obviously did not cast his seed on stony ground.

In another part of the film, Peter Sellers, draws the ladies a attention to the governor's rose bush, a half-standard Betty Uprichard, which Sellers describes as being, "Hand reared, as they say in the navy!" Hand-reared, I suspect is an allusion to mutual-maturbation between consenting male adults.

You have to use a professional....

Edward Fox, as Chacal, The Jackal, when he has been summoned to Vienna, Austria to negotiate the contract and his fee with the OAS, who want to get rid of Charles de Gaulle for his betrayal of the French, Led Pieds Noirs, in the French colony of Algeria, North Africa.

The emphasis on timing throughout the entire is emphasised by the faces of clicks, which are shown repeatedly.

And the link to swinging, by the quote?

If possible, try to deal with people who have lots of experience, otherwise you may be disappointed.

There's not much in it!

This almost unknown quote could be used in numerous swinging scenarios; a guy who is firing blanks, etc.

This specific quote comes from a Boulting brothers 1963 film, which is a superb satire on the hypocrisy within organized religions in England, called Heaven's Above.

Peter Sellers is the star attraction with excellent appearances by;

Eric Sykes

Miriam Marlin

Irene Handl

William Hartnell (Dr.Who)

George Woodbridge

Miles Malleson

Derek Nimmo

Kenneth Griffith

Cecil Parker

Ian Carmichael, et al.

The actual quote occurs when a church deacon asks Sellers, whether he wants to read a copy of the Church Times, to which Sellers, candidly, replies, There's not much in it, which is the principal theme of the film's criticism of the belief in God and religions designed to worship the deity!

Super film: the Boulting brothers made several superb satirical films about work; religion; army; acdemics, etc.
