The Kingdom

I am not an expert on this at all since I have not organized one here, but I would suggest what kind of party the three of ye are planning.

I would start by deciding on a location.

Had this chat today about parties and how they work etc. What to expect etc.

So firstly what type of party is it going to be a case of everyone playing with each other, is there a social side to it?

How many people, mix of couples, singles etc

Location, hotel or air bnb. I've noticed with a lot of air bnbs there's a camera for se uroty, also security wise who paying the deposit for damages etc

I have only organised socials and even organising that have to think of location, then numbers attending, will it be a good mix of people, what are peoples expectations? The amount of messages I've got " oh what happens after? " or " it's a sausage fest"

I have floated the idea of a fab weekend, small group of 14-18 people in an air bnb that can chill out for the weekend, if people want fun there can be rooms available but for me it will be more about a group of like minded people getting together.

Somewhere in Co. Down

You have been to numerous parties you have mentioned it several times on here OP.So surely you have plenty of connections who could help you with what to do to organise them if you ask them, most I am sure would be happy to help.Or maybe you picked up ideas from the ones you attended.

I've never been to one so I'd have no clue how to organise one bar roughly guessing I'd select a venue that I would think would be suitable and I would invite people I knew and liked and were reliable and would get on with others there.Addd in a few snacks and condoms and bring their own drink. Price wise feck knows just enough to cover the cost of getting the place. But like I said I've never been to one so that's just what I would probably do.

I have hosted parties in the past and my

Experience is rent somewhere & ask for a deposit up front.

Invite meet verified only.

I've only ever been to one party which was in the hosts own home so I wouldn't have a clue about organising one beyond the normal common sense approach.

I have however been asked for advice on organising parties and socials by random fabbers who appear to have been involved in conversations that suggested I had some knowledge of this so to whoever is passing on this misinformation may I suggest that you cease and desist?

i travel all over

For a social then play party for around 8-10 people

Pic a location.

Pic a date

Approach people who can get to the location . Either ones you know or those recommended by friends.

Invite twice as many people as you want there. Many will say no for various reasons

Pick singles and couples

Allow the possibility of a social and for people to use a room/apartment. Hotel bar is perfect

Tell them how much the room is

Those who want to use the apartment/room can share the cost

If you need to slightly increase numbers those attending’s veris May guide you

Thanks for the advice but I haven't actually been to many parties yes I have been to group meets but that is entirely different as you are there for one purpose only as for people's expections I can't control those they will be told what to expect on the nite if they come with other expections well that's there problem the parties will largely be a social gathering but there will be the otion of playing if people so wish too but noone will be under any pressure to do so and this will be pointed out on the nite no everyone won't be playing with everyone it's upto each individual who they want to play with it will most definitely not be in a hotel room for obvious reasons it will be open to couples single guys and single women my only interest is too bring people so a similar mindset together to have a good nite and to hopefully make new friends

We would recommend you start small and see how you get on from there. Maybe organise a social in a reserved area in a pub / lounge/ hotel. Make sure u pick somewhere that has accommodation close by. Pick a date and check out the venue to see how many people it will hold. If it's your first social I wouldn't charge ( unless you need to get finger food) just so you get the hang of organising and get your name out there as people can be wary if parting with money. I would put a post in forums and also send out invites to friends or people you have met. Maybe only have verified people to your first. Decide on whether you want couples or just singles or a mix. I would recommend you a have a few more single men than girls as traditionally a few tend to not show (no offence to single men). If you want to organise a play party we would recommend doing social first so you get a feel for the people you would want there. And please don't ever do it in your own home if inviting people you don't know. If you need anything else feel free to pm.
