Sex life after a heart attack.

Well it's just went and happened. Had my first Heart Attack last week and ended up getting 2 stents put in. Don't get me wrong I'm grateful for everything I have and know that things could have been a lot worse but I can't help wonder how much it might affect any future sex life and does it mean I may need to take pills? I suppose I'm asking any fellow fabbers who have suffered a Heart Attack how it has affected them, positive and negative and any advice you may be able to give. Thanks folks and happy Fabbing xx

When I had stents fitted the consultant told me to go out and enjoy my life and ignore them

I take enough tablets to make me rattle every morning which can effect my sex life ....so one more tablet every now and then doesn't hurt

Lol.. Thanks for the advice mate.. yeah I've been put on enough tablets to down a horse.lol. just that it's all new to me now and wondering if it does,can, affect the love life. I suppose like most things it's probably in the head. Thanks again mate

I'm in blood tinners and blood pressure tablets after my mishap.. I don't think it works as often as it used too..so much so iv given up the tablets

Dont give up the tablets that are keeping you alive because you're not getting the horn as often as you used to

You will start with quite a lot of medication post heart attack, usually cut down after time. You will most likely be sent for cardiac rehabilitation they will give you all the information and time scales.

That’s the norm, don’t stop the meds. They are what keeps you alive and no further heart attacks

Unfortunately 30 years of smoking finally caught up with me... So I suppose on a bright note I'm now off the cigarettes.lol.
