"Did it for 4 years and have considered going back on shift but just don't think the money worth if " As in, it's not paid enough relative to the cost of living or its not enough to compensate for the lifestyle?

"The recent pandemic's main aftermath is that many people are no longer prepared to work long and unsocial hours for poor pay, that does not guarantee a minimum standard of life. This is why there is a staffing crisis in many businesses, that will endure. A similar phenomenon was seen after the Black Death in England in the 1300s. Labourers became scarcer, wages rose and legislation was enacted to reduce their bargaining power. " That definitely is the case at the moment. In my industry there's a huge shortage of staff. I've left one company to go back to my previous job because what they were offering me is unheard of so I jumped at at.

Curious....same role you left or an enhanced role/package and had you left long? " Went back to the company I was with previously. Better role and renumeration with a contracted management position guaranteed in writing in the next 6 months. I pick my own hours. My own team and from next month I'm getting travel allowance. I originally left them because the money was way better where I was going to. But now I'm doing less hours, have more time to myself and I'm bringing home just as much. Less stress and more energy now too.

Previous job near broke me and it was a 9-5 one with amazing salary and benefits but in the end just not worth the stress. " I love your job too....
