Tipperary

Plenty cribbing online with the phrases floating around “I tell you what, you’re better off not working now , better off on the dole, sure us ones working paying tax’s are been given nothing” etc etc. What’s your stance? Are the social welfare folk getting 2 much? Are the high earners not been hit hard enough? are the low to middle earners been hit 2 hard? Will some folk just crib either way at the dole brigade?

I'm actually going to do ok out of it at first glance.

As far as the dole spongers argument goes I really don't care anymore. As long as me and mine are ok.

I didn't gain much from it tbh but there are many more people in the country in worse finacial postion than myself so if I don't gain much from this budget and someone really struggling does, then I can live with that!

I'm all my life listening to people cribbing about how great they think others have it. Nothing new there

I know someone on 30k a year he reckons he's 4 euro a week better off now because of this budget wow yoh might say, he also says he's better off on the dole after he takes all his expenses into account and time consumed at work there is no point in working at all..

Don't know anything concrete about it yet as I haven't read a paper yet but I believe I've done very well out of it

600 credit towards ESB

double child allowance at christmas

Double of vouchers for bonus

Increase in allowances

Ya same minus the child's allowance.

It's been the best budget for me in a long time and to be honest it's kinda sickening cause I'm not the demographic that needed it

I've got 2 kids in college right now so the unexpected reduction in fees is appreciated
