I have often thought of the difference between a FB and a FWB as I've had both.

My preference is definitely a FWB as I think it adds a few layers past the pure physicality of a FB.

Any thoughts ?

I think there's a huge difference. FB is 100% physical whereas FWB has many more layers and not just the physical

Coming from a fairly amoral prick oddly enough i find it hard to know if i could have a fuck buddy that i wasnt to some degree friendly with.

FWB is simply that, it’s someone you can have fun with both inside and outside the bedroom or wherever the mood takes you

. If that leads to the odd dinner date or cinema date then that’s even better. Once everyone knows from the start what each individual wants.

It’s very hard to find the right balance of FWB without someone getting too involved but I still think it’s better than FB. I’m not a robot and can’t just perform on command without getting to know someone and having that connection while being with them.

Besides they're just labels, the borders between FB and FWB are blurred. I'd see myself somewhere in between, I don't want the hassle of an 'almost-relationship' and yet I like good connection when engaging with someone.

Having been here and S4I for a few years and having both FWB's and FB's. I would have to say that FWB is by far the best. There is the excitement the 1st time with a FB but after that it's more about gratification than anything else. Whereas with a FWB there is a chance to build up the layers as said above and with that a connection and comfort with each other that leads to trust and the willingness to experiment with each other more. So definitely FWB for me

Fb is not enough for me, I like to make a connection to fully enjoy a person in my bed.

I think I fall a little beyond fwb as I don't do open arrangements.

Life is crazy busy for me atm and I would never want to let anyone down so would hold off on a full bf/gf thing for a time.

But I know myself & I really only thrive in a safer scenario so would need a certain level of commitment to relax and open up within.
