So ....we all saw the queue over the weekend ....14 hours at some stage I think

Tell the truth and live with the embarrassment

What or who have you ever queued for..

I queued for a few hours to get Michael Jackson concert tickets for Cork in 1988....great gig in fairness

I queued for a ride once. There was about two hundred people ahead of me at the beginning but eventually they all got their go and then it was my turn. I really hoped they wouldn't have left too much of a mess after them.

Some of those rides in Thorpe Park are really busy.

Don't talk to me about Thorpe Park rides, queued for a hour for rhe saw ride one of the carriages broke down so another 2 waiting inside on it for 3 mins max came off crying

I've yet to find anything I want enough that would inspire me to queue for longer than a few minutes.

McDs drive through nearly kills me so rarely would bother

I have takeaway ordering down to a fine art.... ring ahead, take my time driving over, walk in, walk out with the goodies

Life's too short to be stood around doing nothing

I absolutely agree, the only place I wait is where there is absolutely no choice,e.g. hours for "emergency" medical treatment

I try to avoid queuing if I can. But during the lockdowns when we had to queue to get into supermarkets and whatnot would be the longest I’d have queued for anything

Yeah I queued most of the night for Slane back in the day too! Got the last four tickets from that shop, and they had to sneak me out before they told the piles of people still waiting

Living in rural Mayo queuing for removals for hours is quite common but the wake after makes up for it. I once ran into one of my very elderly neighbour's at one for a farmer neighbour. I said to him what are you doing here in the freezing cold lining up you can't stand your man (they had fallen out years before over Fianna Fail). He winks and me and says wanted to make sure that old bastard was dead...

That's hilarious! Sure everyone goes to funerals for their own reasons, the Healy-Raes being a great example

Is it even a funeral if the Healy Raes aren't in attendance. My Father says though going to a funeral is better than a wedding invite...you see the same person you get a feed of sandwiches after but you don't need to bring a gift for them..

So many of us were in the same boat with this one. Fortunately he did perform here a few years later and was well worth seeing live. Best live act we have seen!

I don't queue unless I absolutely have to ...no celebrity is worth my precious time or money so unless it's an emergency, an airport, a chocablock motorway I happen to get stuck in, or a badly organised event which has been booked (Santa experiences for the children - if it weren't for them, I would have walked out ).

The sticks

Just for the day that's in it I spent 5hrs queuing to get into the Ploughing on one of the set-up days. Late 90s in Castletownroche.

Was on overtime so was happy out. That's the longest I've queued
