Nature of the game and not looking for sympathy..

Just another post saying it happens to all of us. One could spend ages wondering why, especially after chatting for quite awhile and getting on very well but hey.. everyone has their reasons, whatever they may be.

Maybe it's you, maybe it's them.. who knows. Life's too short to waste on people who don't respect you or your time. Keep on trucking y'all

Thanks for coming to my TED talk

Spot on lads...too many here seem to get offended / angry at being ghosted, not replied to in the 1st place, being blocked etc.

It's all a bit of fun, and sure a bit of patience nearly always pays dividends in the end

Looking forward to next TED talk

I've always thought the best way to avoid being ghosted is to not spend significant time chatting to someone you've never met before.

Chatting for any length of time should not increase or decrease your chances of being ghosted. It certainly has had no bearing on meets we've had.

We've had lovely meets with people we've chatted to for ages (and still do) and had other meets after only a few texts.

Likewise, ghosting and no-shows have happened by both types.. there's no clear correlation why people do it and the reasons could be numerous.

Place is littered with timewasters & ghosters tbh, couch surfers who have nothing better to do than chat with people and then when push comes to shove they just disappear or deny they ever said they wanted to meet in the first place.
