"Every season has its charms, and the fact that we have seasons as well. What's the charm of Irish winter? " It's the off switch at the end of the year. It's the promise of regrowth and renewal in a little while. Its the watching for the green buds that signal the new beginnings. It's the time to relax on the long evenings, take out a book and chill. Without winter, spring might be less welcome.

"Summer is the best 2 weeks of the year (apart from an extended 1 this year)" Given that we've had some exceptionally good summers in recent years, especially on the east coast, the facts say otherwise.

"Have to say I love Autumn with warm days but not too hot Walks on beachs with lots of waves Walking through the local forests with leaves blowing everywhere and collecting chestnuts to beat the youngest child in a game of conkers .... " You sell it well I do love all this. But like Casey the shortening days cast a gloom over me - Ms

"If it's like this, it's a lovely season . I hate the grey rainy days that never end . For anyone suffering with SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), grapefruit essential oil (2 drops or as the manufacturer advises) in a diffuser or burner has an uplifting effect." Definitely must try that - hate SAD in the winter. I use a LED lamp for about 30 mins a day when working, seems to help and lift the spirits.

It affects me maybe two or three days in the year, usually on those days where the sky is just a very particular shade of grey that never changes. It's hard to describe as it's a very particular shade. It really really gets me down.
