Was going on a first meet up tonight until I was asked if I'd go bare back.

I wouldn't, so that was the end of that.

Third time in a couple of months.

Sorry now, but if I don't know ya well, I'll have to wear a helmet.

Twenty years ago I would have no bother, but now I'm wiser and more fussy.

Quoting from here "don't be silly, wrap your willy"

Each to their own. Plenty of diseases that can be transmitted even while using a condom or sharing toys, not washing between multiple partners, oral/rimming without protection. More important is regular testing - I suspect quite a few fabbers assume using a condom for intercourse means there's no need for it.

I'd never go horseriding on a meet, whether bareback or not

somewhere

There's a few couple profiles that are honest enough to state they want bareback

At least they say it in the profile so you can make the decision to join them or not

So many ways for STI’s to be transmitted not just through penetrative sex.

I agree , regular tasting is the only way.

Is it like milk? Does it taste sour if it goes off?

We would always be of the opinion that both is the only way. Safe sex and regular tests.

i travel all over

Whilst there is some risk with oral sex it’s just really impractical to use condoms and an erection is not a requirement . Penetrative sex however is a straightforward vehicle for wearing a condom and making the likelihood of regular tests coming back negative higher

Agreed. Always safe sex with someone new and regular testing.

Newry Down

It's a personal decision, but although bareback is more intense, it is risky with a new partner.

If a degree of trust can be established, coupled with regular testing, and honesty about the results, bareback is possible in limited circumstances.

Myself and my former partner used to frequently meet an attractive couple whom we believed we could eventually trust, and vice versa.

We were tested regularly, we shared the results and there was never any problem; the only time we chose to use condoms was when we DP'd; my former was afraid of getting a bacterial infection in her 'front' as she described it.
