Now, it's time to round up all you Sexperts and Fab historians to see if you've any insights regarding the origins of certain sexual phrases, curse words or sayings...

Here's one example...

The term "blow job" is used even though there's no blowing involved as...

a. It could have been used a euphemism or better term than a "suck job"

b. It might refer to the explosive climax of the orgasm

Any words or phrases you'd like to explain and feel free to make up one or two if you can for the giggle!!!

"Geoffrey Chaucer used an early English version of the word "cunt"... that was back in the 1300's. "

--------

As Kate Lister, a s-expert in these matters said that the particular word "can be traced back to the old Norse ‘kunta’ and Proto-Germanic ‘kunto; but before that cunt appears to be quite elusive,”

I'm sure it was and well put Kate

Geoffrey Chaucer's lauded Canterbury Tales was truly pornographic as was the 1973 film based on these tales, for example:

The Nun's Priest's Tale!

It actually comes from the shortening of the original name (below job)

Sources actually say that it was initially called an "Elbow Job" (as a anagram) as the recipient would nudge their partner with a wink when in the mood for some lazy relief

The Kama Sutra is cited frequently and erroneously that it is a list of sexual positions, when it is actually a detailed formula for achieving greater fulfillment in life.

An early form of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, which was postulated (by Maslow) and developed by him many centuries later.

We in the West assume that we are advanced civilised societies, but the Indians had the situation sussed thousands of years ago; and this is also true in astronomy, mathematics, etc
