who remembers the measurement term Gee Hair, a very exact and precise measurement, a Gee hair left or right could make all the difference, but when it came to precision you could get no finer measurement scale than Gee Hair.

however with smoothness is Gee Hair the like the Inch , fondly remembered but destined for memory and history

On the plus side, 76.2mm sounds so much more impressive than 3 inches!

I remember steel work being installed in Trinity library and the engineer told the forman that one upright was out "just a gee hair"

The forman went to the canteen took out a page from the newspaper and got the crane to lift the steel to allow the newspaper to fit under it

So it's official...a gee hair was the width of a sheet of The Sun newspaper

Now what about a GeeBag ....
