Is anyone else completed turned off by others age ranges? I’m just wondering for me as I have a child aged 19 I find it creepy as hell to see men my age or older looking for barely legal 18yr olds!

Age preferences aren't a turn off but I've no interest in anyone with a broad age range.

My age filters are the way they are because of my kids ages but there are lots of younger women who will attempt to get around those by messaging through a couples profile so it's not all one way traffic.

For me with fun( no strings sex) it’s slightly different to a relationship. I’m a young at heart, younger looking 36yo. Do I go chasing 19yos? No I don’t but would I turn one down if approached in a sexual no strings scenario? No I wouldn’t. I’m not having a go at women here, just giving my views but I think the age thing In a high % very much bothers women. I even see it in normal life not just on here and I find it happens with most women. It doesn’t bother me what others do as long as it’s legal and above board.

Oh no it’s not the age more so the age difference - like I dunno if someone’s old enough to be my dad or son I find it weird but I know I’m in the minority

Each on their own. To big of an age gap wouldn't be for me but I certainly wouldn't call it creepy. There's young women who only want to meet older guys but there's also older women who are after the young lads. Nobody calls the latter creepy. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I don't think it's instantly creepy. Similar I don't think women in their late 30 who would sleep with a 19 year old guys are creepy either.

Now there are men who will actively seek out very young women which is creepy, but I don't think an willingness to sleep.woth someone who is 19 instantly.makes that person a creep.

At the end of the day if you just want a ONS or the likes then their age shouldn't ever be a factor really - once legal obviously.

My age filters are open only cos I would go chat in the ireland chat rooms sometimes, having the filter on meant I couldnt respond to other chatters. I do have an age preference which is detailed further down the profile.

Ok the 18 to 99 range does not atomaticaly make a guy pervy old man mine is set because I enjoy using chat and the forum, if some body wants to mail me about something I want them to be able to do so they aint going yo be getting a cock pic back and fancy a fook msg

We take 18 to 99 as a default setting so wouldn’t read too much into it.

It has happened where we’ve been looking at particular couple profiles (in and around our age) where all the verifications were from couples or singles in early twenties or from those in late 50s / sixties - that was a bit of a turnoff in the sense that they had a preference and we weren’t it.

We second that and think that’s exactly what it is .

Just someone not setting the age filters .

It’s also unlikely that teenagers come to this site , they would find it rather creepy as it is out if their imagination. that people older 30 still have sex, except for a few boys who have heard- a rumor of an easy leg over.

If the profile has a 18-99 then it can be excused as laziness. If you have a 50+ of either sex seeking a 18-25 then its more deliberate and puts a slightly different slant on it. Most seem to seek a profile under and above their own age but you do see some that only seek younger. Not as many that only seek older. Suppose it depends on each individual scenario. Everybody here by choice at the end of the day.

Everyone is different but as for me, I draw the line with people in the 18-25 bracket.

Sure if they message, I will be polite but it's just not for mein or around my own age and older is fine although I do suspect that some ladies in there 50s might be hesitant incase it's a guy who is out to make bed notches.

To be honest, I've often been disappointed trying to message older ladies when they have the blocks in place. Then again, the choice is entirely theirs to make.

Or we could just leave them the way they are and not have to conform to the views of others, not all people have the same preferences that the beauty of fab. Would I seek out an 18yr old hell no would I seek out a 26yrold no but just because i have my profile open to all I can be labled a dirty old pervert

Some will be concerned that they are putting people off with their broad range and this is a work around that.

Having daughters and niece's in their 20s yes it's feels wrong on so many levels to be middle age looking for 18yr olds.

The age thing is not a deal breaker for me I just have a broad range as a better search option eg. 35 to 55 a lot of people don't give their true age on here anyway.

I'm 50 and my limit is 18 - 60. But realistically, I don't expect to be contacted by anyone under 30 (probably under 40, more likely), so I never really bothered setting a lower cut-off point. The youngest woman I've met was 20 years younger than me. In the unlikely event that I was contacted by someone aged 18, I don't know what I'd do; I suppose I'd just have to play it by ear, but it probably would feel a bit weird.

Mine are set to cut down on messages. If I see someone I like outside of them I can always make first contact myself.

In saying that I can't see myself going much younger than what I set though.

What others do on here with their age preferences I couldn't care less if I'm brutally honest. It's their profile and their choice .When I see the 18 to 99 unchanged I usually just think they couldn't be bothered changing it.

I'd be perfectly happy to talk to anyone within those age ranges but I can't imagine I'd meet a 99 year old though.

If I cut back the preference to the ages I like, there's obviously an increased chance of people outside that range saying hello at any point and I feel they'd be missing out. I couldn't do that to mná na hÉireann.

We find it frustrating when you go to message someone who is just a couple of years younger to find a block. That's up to them obviously but you might be a day older than previously and then fall outside age range which seems totally stupid to us.

Must say though Mrs not interested in anyone younger than our son. Finds it strange, that may change when he's 50 though lol
