Why would somebody feel the need to hack people's pics and try and use them for themselves, surely they will be found out If they met somebody,

I think it's time to delete public pics and any friends that we've never spoke to, just don't know whose trustworthy enough to be on there and have access to any pics.

It's ridiculous that this site doesn't have some sort of copy right security for people's pics, I'm sure it's not hard to do.

These people (Thecreatives) actually asked to befriend us! Omg! Should we be abhorred or flattered?

Initial reaction is nausea.

Agree that pics should be private and will employ that rule from now on.

pic collectors and the men pretending to be women or couples its been happening for yrs,.

we have a rule we stick by and its no friend request til we have met and the ppl we meet we usually meet them again n again xxxxxxx

i just cut my friendslist in half. some man from england mailed me the other day asking me to send him pics in a first mail. i replyed i dont do pic collectors and blocked.

Some pic editing software let ya add a watermark type mark on pics. Ruins the pic slightly but at least your I.D. will be watermarked across the pic.

There is a program called Faststone photo resizer (quick google will bring it up) and it's very good for not only resizing pictures in bulk, but also for adding a text "watermark" on your pictures.

It's very simple to use but takes a bit of concentration when you first use it to discover what all it can do, but one of its best features is allowing you to adjust the opacity (see through) of the text so you don't ruin a good picture with a horrible great lump of text through it.

I'd agree with hiding the pictures, I didn't when I first joined and I'm sure the pic collectors had a field day - Well, maybe not as i'm no oil painting

But anyway, internet security is also a problem as well as keeping your own pictures safe on your own PC - I'll post a few tips up on that soon in case anyone wants some help with that

The big problem is mobile internet, and smart phones you can look up at pic and one button can store the pic. Then even with a watermark on it you can still resize and take the watermark out as most people won't watermark in the middle but will at the bottom or a corner.

On of mine was taken and used by a well verified, gold member FEMALE In the UK ... I was shocked to see it on her profile pics .. ESP since she wasn't the female with me. I did report it and its been removed but she wasn't banned or anything ?? Does make ye think

I can see how it would annoy someone to have their pictures copied and re-distributed without permission. Such an invasion of privacy. But as long as your faces are covered, and there's nothing to identify you, then that should at least minimize any potentially embarrassing exposure. Still, it's a bollix for some scummer to do this.

I honestly will have no hair left. WOMEN and as well as MEN fake photos. Look at the number of verified women on here with no photos warning that messages without face photos will be blocked.

Now if you are stupid enough to send a face photo with your first message to a stranger, you are still getting a fiver off the tooth fairy.
