Difficult for young boys to be conscious that they are different in the showers growing up so totally resent anyone classifying it as genital mutilation for any reason. It is not one bit comparable to the misogynistic motives or lasting damage caused by FGM, so such comparisons or appropriating of that language / label even detracts from victims of FGM.
