Clique bait

What is this fab clique that seems to be brought up in most threads?

Is a clique not just a group of people with similar opinions, similar interests, similar tastes, and similar personalities, excluding people outside of their interests?

If so, is fab not full of cliques? If so, is it so bad? Are we all not here to attract similar people?

Couples not interested in single males excludes 3/4 of the site.

Doggers only interested in dogging  probably excludes even more.

The very people who are united in their opinion of cliques, have they ironically created their own clique??

So many questions of a Sunday afternoon just curious

Discuss.......

Or not

Obviously this place is full of groups of people in intersecting circles who know each other and are friends. Are these cliques? I don't know.

The clique line has been used a lot on here I've seen it over and over since I joined. And yes there are a lot of people who know each other and it can seem cliquey to people who aren't in their circles.

But it is a line that is usually used by those who make zero effort to get involved in chats in the forum's etc and post a handful of posts then get pissed off if they haven't been replied to,then usually come on with a rant about cliques and how they are so much better than those.

In saying that there are certain people who do believe they are in a 'clique' and that they actually have power on here. They seek information on others and share it when they don't agree with others on here. They are usually the ones who are more dangerous as oppose to the ones they point the finger at.But that's also fab and it's always the way it has been.

Cliques may exist or not who knows and really does anyone actually care either? I know I don't and I will carry on my own journey on here either way.

Obviously there will be groups of friends and acquaintances who are unaware that they are excluding anyone.

Then there are groups of like minded individuals whose sole aim is to school and tutor others and dictate their level of inclusion or exclusion among the various external groups.

Not quite the fab Illuminati but enough shithousery to attract an audience.

Usually those stupid enough to believe they aren't targets in another chatgroup.

and surrounding areas

The way i see it is that there are people who each other here on the forums, and will engage with eachother ,but what really annoys me is when a post is taken over with a few who just derail the thread by taking it over and chatting amongest themselves , thats what i would call a thread clique ,it happenes alot on the forums

There are always cliques where there is a large number of people, some of these will simply be people with common interests or who find each other easy to get on with and/or supportive, other groups will exist whose raison d'etre is apparently to assert themselves as the dominant or superior group.

It all seems like hard work really and makes me grateful that I'm an introvert

Groups of people into which one has not YET been assimilated could possibly be described as cliques, whilst people whom one communicates with are rarely ascribed this perjorative term!

So...... when you are not in a clique you can call them a clique, but when you are in a clique you can't call them a clique

It is not that you cannot, but more likely that you will not.

Fabswingers, in its entirety is a broad church; if you want to integrate into this lifestyle choice, learn how to play this game as best you can. Some people will regard you as desirable, whilst others will not.

You cannot be all things to all men; there will always be a pecking order.

Some learn quickly, others do not; everyone will find their niche, eventually!

For a newbie or an outside observer the fab forum can be rather cliquey and hostile or perceived as such. It can easily give you the impression that everyone knows each other. Some actually do mainly through socials/parties but many don't, they just got to 'online-know' the other forumites.

Anyhow some forum behaviour doesn't help such as:

The same people flirting or bantering with each other while the rest is totally ignored, it's often done to a cringe level.

Full threads are being taken over or derailed by some forumites spinning around their own axis.

And worst case scenario is the bashing of a thread op or poster by a bunch of people just because said fabber doesn't fit into their narrow box.

The cliques exist but honestly they get called out if they are just being cunts. Most people on the forum are generally just nice
