In the place where I am, I am paying 1100 euros for a room without a receipt for taxes. I've been here three months. The girl who has rented me the room has not only been impolite, noisy and very dirty. And now, without further ado, she informs me that at the end of the month her brother is coming and that I have to go.

I'm not from here, but can I do something like claim the treasury or something so that he doesn't get away with it? I feel very powerless with this, I am a very respectful person.

Contact the RTB with your grievance. They would be best placed to advise.

I suggest you try the citizens advice centre or your local councillor.

that's proof of payment so you are entitled to correct notice if nothing else

Unfortunately as you seem to be sharing the accommodation with your landlord, you don't have as many rights :/ have a look at this:

She’s probably claiming the income under the rent a room scheme. You don’t have the same entitlements as you would under a tenancy lease really. Also, that income her is tax free (if it is under €14,000 PA) and you cannot claim tax credits as they were abolished in 2014.

It’s a shit situation but she is holding all the cards.

Unless you both signed an agreement which has some ground rules, like how much you pay, how long you’re staying, etc, then you don’t have any rights & can’t do anything
