So with the price of fuel now and the distance some travel for socials and meets whats everyones thoughts on this. Will this put you off or have any impact on how far or who you go to meet.

Yes i would take public transport mostly if i am travelling far to parties. I mostly stay local other than parties anyway.

I'd imagine the cost of hotels and AB&B is a bigger issue for most. Even if you don't need to travel far, the accomodation will be expensive!

The cost of fuel is now exorbitant, but for the present it is still available, unlike countries like Sri Lanka where it is not.

Free public transport for pensioners enables me to travel anywhere in Ireland, but statistically from a swinging perspective, I am an outlier, several standard deviations beyond the median age of about 35.

Members of this age opine very frequently about their difficulties in obtaining replies to messages, with meets being as rare as those mythical unicorns.
