"I'd strongly consider moving house. It seems to impact your life more and more and by the sound of your neighbour's physical outbreak in the most recent clash, it most likely only gets worse. I know moving house is stressful but these kinda confrontations can eat you up bit by bit. So my advise: get out of there!" Oh yes, 100% As soon as we finish redecorating we'll be out of here in a flash. I just can't pass up an opportunity to harmlessly annoy him while we're still here

"I doubt the man is losing his mind over nothing, the fact that you are planning to provoke him even more suggests you are enjoying this and are not telling us the full truth, why would you deliberately provoke a man whos losing his mind? he's obviously at the end of his tether which doesn't happen for no reason, I lived in an apartment before and the soundproofing was almost non existent, they would create all sorts of racket at all hours, there were many rows and I moved to a quieter place, my advice is get out of there or if you're staying stop provoking an unhinged man he's liable to do anything. " He's one of those people who should live in a detached house in a middle of the woods - as clearly humans living their normal lives is unbearable for him to cope with He has an issue with what he assumes Dirks religion is, which he openly admitted multiple times (Neither Dirk or myself are in any way religious nor are we part of any organisations). He also has an issue with me being foreign, he told me to "go home" and "go back where I came from" multiple times. We have tip toed enough around this unhinged bigot and nothing is good enough, so yes, I will "provoke" him with my angelic voice if I want to

No winner here . Act like adults go around to him and have a realistic chat with him Both ye come to a compromise and get on with your life As previously mentioned maybe not getting the full story ???

"Had dozens of chats over last 3 years. As mentioned in the original post have done absolutely everything not to provoke him, yet he chooses to keep behaving like a child. I am telling a full story. What do you think we might be doing that he finds so annoying? We don't fight, never raise a voice at each other. Have sex at a reasonable hour. Literally last time we had a house party was in summer 2021. Which we made sure that he was out that night first. We don't go out every weekend leaving a dog alone. When we do go out for a long periods of time - we leave our doggo with family members. If music is on - as soon as we see him come home, we turn it down. What else could we be doing that is so bad that this "poor" man might be at his wits end with us, that he feels pushed to the point of property damage? None of other neighbours have any problems with us, our kids or dog. What I will be doing is simply proving my point that if there would be a young family living near him with small noisy kids and crying babies - would he start damaging their fences too? " you can't live your life like that, turning music off when you see him coming. You should be able to do what you want in your own home! If and when you move out make sure new occupants have loads of kids, and love playing musical instruments preferably the drums..

The word for plants in an unwanted place also a word for some kinda drug Ever considered some day he’s away taking “unwanted plant” killer and writing something in his lawn?? "Have a wee dilemma and need some advice: We happen to have the most annoying neighbour in the world who constantly complains about us being noisy (spoiler alert, we are not any more noisy than any other person). Now up to this point we have considered his feelings by: Not playing music at all when he's home, not having loud sex when he's home, rarely leaving a dog home alone, not having any house parties when he's home... there's literally nothing else we can do not to disturb him. Last weekend we had a friend visiting from a different country so they were staying over in one of the kids bedrooms. That person happened to fall out of the top bunk bed. One loud thump at 3am - our neighbour loses his shit and kicks over the fence that is separating the property. Police couldn't do anything. Fence is now replaced by new 6ft tall one and I'm constructing a plan of harmless revenge to damaged property. I'll spend 3h on Monday singing "Let it go" on karaoke. What should I do on Tuesday and Wednesday? Missus " Record all the sound in your house for next few weeks ,,, From experience this isn't going away ,, when he makes a complaint, you need to be able to prove its unfounded ,,, if not although not fair , it will be recorded as a complaint against you . Its petty unfortunately but necessary

"I make no apologies for telling you straight that you are fundamentally wrong in your assumption of the situation the OP is in. I am currently in a similar situation with an elderly neighbour who I have helped almost every day for the past 5 years, going to the shop at all times of the day and night when she has no cigarettes, getting her shopping, taking her dog to the groomers, bringing her bins out every week, taking her to doctors appointments and being an exceptional neighbour, until only a month ago when she completely shunned and ignored me because apparently she can hear my music. She’s a liar. She can’t hear anything at all and, if she wants to go down that road then I could say many things about her dog continually barking at silly o’clock and the many, many times I have went and got her cigarettes and never got paid for them. My neighbour, like the OP’s neighbour actually HAVE lost their minds but nobody, no matter who or what they are, will turn on me and do a Judas. She will soon come to realise that you don’t shit on the people who do the most for you. PS… I have a 2 and a half thousand watt PA system here I’d the OP needs it for any entertainment they plan to have… it might crack the windows though it’s that loud " Sounds like her bitterness may be rubbing off

"Yes revenge can be sweet. 2 kids kept away by d*unken neighbours. X big formula one fan. It was on in the morning and it was glorious weather. He sat out and brought TV out as deck was at the back. He put it on watched race and had breakfast. We only found out when they came around saying that they were holding 21st and could we not call the police. We went away but it just happened that had planned going away at that time. But after the formula 1 moring no noisy nights till the 21st. I have noisy neighbours they have fought with every neighbour in the building and I don't react to them. They are making the noise to get me to react and neighbours have called the police on them. But to me they don't exist and I don't give them the time of day. " best way is just ignore them sort of people ive got shit neighbours a great one on 1 side the other are arseholes and more or less alcholics but karma be coming there way soon enough i had racecars bangers on the lawn and they rang council on me to complain so ive had council out and gave me month to move them im down to 1 at the minute but council coming out again tomorow or tuesday . Best way is leave on your radio when u goto work wreck his head

"My neighbours are so noisy the banging, shouting and screaming but the shouting and screaming has calmed down after I had to complain them. The were screaming during the early hours of the morning it sounded like they were attacking eachother. Then the kid use my front garden at a soccer pitch and my wall and gates as a goally. Anyone want to swap I can't even use my livingroom most of the time especiallyin summer with the noise outside, right now in this moment there's lots of noise going on in there. There's a few kids but they sound like hulligans. " Oh too be young

"Prior to moving out of the area, if you can, keep a detailed diary record of all interactions with your nightmare neighbour, who has the capacity to make your life a misery. I had a real nightmare neighbour, whose behaviour markedly improved when he was placed on a new regime of psychiatric medication. These situations can really escalate; in some instances resulting in deaths. A former soldier was recently convicted for murdering both of his neighbours over a parking dispute; he was given a minimum 38 (thirty eight) year sentence, and was told he may never be released, in order to protect the public !" The above is a warning,,,,, not a suggestion
