Had a 67 Mustang until a few years back but sold it when the kids came along.

However, things are settling so I’m starting to look out for something. Would like a Capri or another American muscle but not going to import from the States again. Very stressful! I’ll look as far as the UK

That’s sounds like a ball ache, hopefully from the uk and you may only end up paying 200 vrt, always like the Mustang styling

A car over 30 years can be taxed as vintage.

I currently have a classic car in almost pristine condition, but the cost of fuel is now so extreme, and likely to increase that public transport has become my only viable mode of travel.

On a bit of a tangent, but can anyone tell me the cost of insurance on a 20+yr old car, wife and I both have our cars but would like something as a project for weekends and as a back up in case of breakdown on our main cars, who is best to get a quote from?

I've a trade policy so can't give you any names but I know a few lads in a classic car club that are insured on their classics for very small money. Some insurers need a form from a classic owners club for some reason too
