I think he got what he deserved. He took something from that girl and posted it for everyone to see. Well at least everyone knows who he is and what a dick he is!

Let's not send signals... let's prosecute each and every one rather than token cases.

... and if you're in one of those groups where pics are shared without permission then you're part of the problem. Don't do that

Not only that, the misinformation that is passed around without double checking if it's true from all parties is the bedding for the acceptance of these photos in groups too. Too many flying monkeys about.

I often think how mad we all are posting pictures up here. We don’t know who’s copying them etc. I’m as guilty as everyone else but it is a bit crazy when you think about it

Unfortunately once we post photos here or send privately they are no longer really ours. We run the risk that could be taken and shared. We just have to think twice about what we put out there. It shouldn't be that way but it is.

To those who shame the individuals by reposting their photos or videos on a public platform or send to someone's family and friends then I say prosecute them.

Sadly this seems to be a token case because the poor girl took her own life sometime afterwards.

Real progress would be to see each and every case pursued with similar vigour.

More of this needs to be done to stamp it out.

I don't see a reference to he taking her own life anywhere in the reports.

I wonder will she be prosecuted too as apparently she send pictures of him to theor friends group chats before they broke up

Theres a guy here who messaged me when i was looking for a guy to join my lady friend and I for a mfm. We chatted on kik for a while and then preceded to show me pictures of other ladies that he had chatted to, told me details of them moving house, when they had covid, what car they drove and registration, show me their Facebook page and their address.

When i confronted him about what he was doing, and told him if i find him, ill deal with him, he blocked me.

So, don't share any personal information or pictures with your face showing is my advice!!!

I think he was giving general advice, not relating exclusively to men

Totally deserved this abuser in this case a result im happy to hear. it sets a precident going forward for other victims of this abuse.

Any one sharing content with out permission to deliberately impact a person deserves no mercy. It's so narrow minded and reeks of immaturity and sicknesses.

It's a consent and GDPR issue its iintellectual property of the creator and is required by law to have written cconsent from the creator to use the identified image etc.

GDPR is there to protect ppeoples rivacy.

Digital foot print is easy to follow.

I was responding to the first 2 paragraphs which were specifically about a guy sharing details.

My experience has only ever been with women sharing. I've never received social media details or facepics from a man.

I had my personal content shared by a disgruntled TV here along with receiving threats across a variety of platforms. Went to gaurds over it and everything was removed. Happy to share the details with anyone as person is active on fet and here.

He deserves time in prison for that kind of carry on .. I knew a Mayo man just like this thought he was above the law was best friends with my ex … could never figure them out , wouldn’t be surprised if my ex was doing same thing … best thing ever breaking free , hope the judge saw to it he paid for distributing these photos .. some ppl have no common decency

I agree , I know this may be controversial but in all likelihood they shared pics with each other. If these were family pics holiday pics , d*unken pics , pics of crimes being committed I don't think that a judge would say these pics belonged to the female if she willingly shared them .

Educate our kids ,, show them the effects of this crap. Help them be capable of making better decisions. Restorative justice works far more effectively for the victims and perpetrators.

Time to move past crime and punishment..

There is a significant number of similar cases progressing through the criminal justice system; but for me, the principal lesson is to share as little as possible online, especially face pics!
