Usually work bank holidays so I only get to enjoy the evenings. The only issue is nobodies around cause they’re hungover from the night before !

There are so many clever and sophisticated devices available nowadays that one can use in one's own downtime that idleness can still be productive!

If you want to understand what boredom, mindlessly numbing boredom used to be like, have a look at or a listen to some of the old Hancock programmes, that are available online.

Tony Hancock, a depressive comedian used to have both a TV and a radio program the central themes of which was boredom.

Hancock was an alcoholic and was also depressed in real life; he eventually chok#d himself to death inside a wardrobe in Oz in 1968, despite his wealth and successful career.

Cherish the opportunity to be idle, and eschew describing it as 'boredom'
