to house Ukrainians. have any of you had summer breaks or so cancelled in hotels because of this?

I have my suspicions they'd still be fleecing us even if there wasn't any Ukrainians here.

Especially after Covid.

According to one of the papers last weekend, it's 5% of hotel rooms in Dublin that have been taken up by Ukrainian refugees. I have no idea if that's accurate or not as I couldn't find anything to contradict or confirm what I read.

I had planned to meet up with someone for awhile. Checked hotels prices and it's not making me unhappy. I can't justify those prices

I was told most are getting a 100 a day per person. if that's true I can see why hotel owners would offer their premises. I know alot who have been affected from weddings to communions/confirmations to weekend/summer breaks. I suppose its annoying if u have a holiday booked months in advance to get an email saying your booking has been cancelled. I don't know though would the real busy hotels take in Ukrainians. is it the hotels that struggle a bit. terrible what's going on over there all the same. some lovely new Ukrainian women around all the same

that's what will happen id imagine for hotels doing poor business. obviously every hotel in Ireland won't use the majority of their rooms for Ukrainians.
