Saw Bill Bailey live in Dublin years ago. Had tears rolling down the face and a sore jaw from laughing. Monty Python is always a go to for me as well. And Happy Gilmore is good for the giggles.

Peter Sellers in his late 1950s to early 1960s films is absolutely hilarious: for example his portrayal of the shop steward, Fred Kite in the Boulting Bros production: I'm Alright Jack. It's a masterpiece.

Kite is a Communist, but has never been to Russia: "All those corn fields and ballet in the evening".

He even speaks, walks and dresses like Josef Stalin!

Other notable satirical films are: Heavens Above, that pertains to religion, churches, charity, racism, corruption, benefit fraud, etc.

Two Way Stretch is about a prison breakout with the perfect alibi: the crims are still in prison!

On the surface, these are simple comedies, but they are really multilayered satires.

These are frequently shown on TPTV: talking pictures television on various platforms, inc Freeview.
