somewhere

So one special episode to go for an hour tonight.

Yet last nights episode nearly floored me......

what a start with them all chatting in the kitchen...just laughed the whole time

Then the ending.....clare got her first kiss... Then the bad news ....amazing

But then the ending of season 1 as the girls sang on stage and The omagh bomb was the breaking news was just as thought provoking

Thanks to the people of Derry in not posting pictures on social media of what was filmed outdoors and ruining it for everyone

Incredible series

Great series and great soundtrack with it. It does take you back to events of the day but has you in stitches. Sister Michael still gets the best lines.

It's a great show. Great to see the special guest appearances this season and the lovely Sinead Burke getting some screen time last night.

Will miss it now it's over.

I sort of, don't mind it...Plebs is much better in my opinion, but they have rather English accents there

I think it's pretty overrated to be honest, a lot of the humour is very laboured. The character of Michelle is spot on though and the actress totally nails it

Frankly, I was never once tempted to watch it and have never even seen a trailer; although I do know it is widely regarded

As a total nerd (as you know) the continuity is spot on, from the weapons, the cars, correct reg plates, the security services uniforms, the fashion and the music

Tommy Tiernan is even better at being so quiet

Ah here, absolutely no comparison between the two. Derry Girls is funny!!

The end of the first series remains a touchstone for nordies of my vintage. The sheer randomness of the troubles intruding into your day to day teenage life was spot on.

Grandad talking to Erin about the referendum and then holding hands with the baby walking out of the polling station hit me but then before the credits when Orla was dancing to the music I was laughing my head off

I don't hate it but I don't find it hilariously funny either. It's passable.

Probably because apart from everything else being very accurate the humour itself is also accurate and appropriate.

That's exactly how many people spoke and reacted to situations at that time and their own black humour was a shield.

It just looks like real life rather than a comedy.

I hadn't seen it before but siad I'd binge it with all the buzz.

Great first season but I felt it got stale very quickly after that.
