"Road tolls when the government was so stupid and short termist as to sell them to private businesses What she said. One of a long list of dumb things our government did " Yet we pay amongst the highest road taxes in the E.U to add to the insult

"Car insurance. Even if I'm on the low end and have always shopped around every year to reduce it (only went up when changing cars), the fact that I have never been in an accident or made any kind of claim but I still have to put in effort to avoid getting ripped off every year " How pissed off will you be by the time you're my age and have paid another 20 years of it with a completely clean record

If I had the backing to start a company in say Spain to offer cheap insurance in Ireland. Which they can't stop a company doing. A good thing with being an E.U member. Would drive down costs here. But greedy insurance companies don't mess with each others money market. I would love to stir that pot.

Shopped around and got car insurance for £10 more than last year from a company I left last year because they were charging 50% more than everyone else. Cancelled house renewal and got the exact same policy for less than I paid last year with the same company on their website. Makes you wonder if they are just making up numbers at times?
