Car insurance.

Even if I'm on the low end and have always shopped around every year to reduce it (only went up when changing cars), the fact that I have never been in an accident or made any kind of claim but I still have to put in effort to avoid getting ripped off every year

This also makes me laugh. If I had the backing to start a company in say Spain to offer cheap insurance in Ireland. Which they can't stop a company doing. A good thing with being an E.U member. Would drive down costs here. But greedy insurance companies don't mess with each others money market. I would love to stir that pot.

Never made a claim on my car or house insurance and both policies went up by 50% this year.

Shopped around and got car insurance for £10 more than last year from a company I left last year because they were charging 50% more than everyone else.

Cancelled house renewal and got the exact same policy for less than I paid last year with the same company on their website.

Makes you wonder if they are just making up numbers at times?
