"Simon Sinek - How Great Leaders Inspire Action"

I watched this with growing cynicism I have to say, it was more like a self-promotion exercise.

I'm sure there's something out there to suit everyone's personal beliefs.

Not listening to any good ted talks at the moment but am listening to AI 2041. Its about Artificial Intelligence and where we are likely to be in 2041. The book goes through a fictional story and the explains how AI is being used. Really good read or audio book.

"Simon Sinek - How Great Leaders Inspire Action"

His point is basically “why dont we run everything like the marines?”

He’s got decent mileage out of it to be fair

Clever marketing and propaganda. He is a master salesman for sure.

'People don't buy what you do they buy why you do it' ... I dont buy it. His insistent repetition completely irked me

Interesting takes. On the surface it might come across as praising someone like Steve Jobs or aggressive personalities and is a bunch of management jargon. Total opposite of what I hear.

Maybe context and perspective had to be setup first.

A bit if pre-reading for a fab forum discussion

For some people having total integrity in what they do is very important .

For others branding themselves in a particular way which benefits them is where their skill is at . It’s clever . It might not be very ‘worthy’ but the intelligence behind the construction should not be underestimated .

Healys Rae, Sharon Osborne etc fall into that category . Very little discernible skill but very successful .

Newry Down

There are hundreds of very stimulating and revelatory TED talks; but one of the worst was a talk by the guy in Connaught who claimed to exist without money; or at least he used to, until he wrote a lucrative book about his frugality.

Ben Fogle visited him for an interesting discussion but the TED talk was a perfect example of poor planning and preparation for what should have been a gem!
