A town near you

About 10 years ago removed the open fire that had back boiler and put in an insert stove that had back boiler.

At the time was an outlay of about 3k but had easily paid for it self several times.

Have prob used 100l of kerosene since then if that.

Between CW and KK

Doc Martens shoes.

I bought my first 1461 just before the leaving exams in '97. I got the second one in Glasgow a day after a Rancid gig, and it was in 2008. Still in use.

And you don't have a picture of it on Fab...you need to remedy that but you only need to wear top part of the Tux we're too used to seeing your ass

Dunboyne

Home cinema projector and screen. Cost about €3K at the time but there's almost 5,000hrs on its original bulb. I'll let you work that out for yourselves on the average price of a movie ticket for a 2hr movie and remember, you're adding up the cost for a single person. Try making it a family of 4 and then the €3K is an absolute pittance. Home cinema surround sound probably cost another €3K on top of that but it's still an absolute bargain over time and we love it

I own a particular pair of jeans for probably over 20 years and, touch wood, it's still going strong - best value for money where my wardrobe is concerned

Otherwise, certain sex toys that have and still do give me regular pleasure

Newry Down

The experience of being used and abused by fair weather friends, selfish employers, dysfunctional teachers and others-much too numerous to categorise oe identify individually.

At the time these were costly experiences in terms of emotional damage, foregone opportunities and time wasted.

But they have cumulatively given a vast database of experience from which I can now draw upon in my daily interactions ; what seemed expensive at the time now looks cheap when I can now easily come out on top, rather than my former position of being exploited, subjugated, assaulted and denigrated.
