Is fab toxic ?

Jump to newest

Have been on here for some time now, in different forms. I find when I log off and forget about fab my mental health just gets so much better. I feel it's only the horn which brings me back here.

I feel fab becomes somewhat of an addiction, repetitive behaviour. Or maybe I'm just here too long?

Thoughts?

Nope I fucking love it Made awesome friends and met wonderful people. Have had a ton of phenomenal sex too.

Once you don’t expect it to change your life, it’s fine!

You're far from the only one who feels this way. Take another break maybe. No website is worth risking your mental health. There are other ways that will satisfy the horn and not make you feel like crap. Be kind to yourself.

I'm not invested enough in the site for it to affect my mental health so I can take it or leave it.

There is a lot of toxic behaviour but that has always been the case and it's best to take a break if you are aware that it is having a negative influence.

Only as toxic as ya let it be... there is people who wish to cause drama as for some reason Fab is their life...if ya let them be and don't react then Fab is fun place and ya have amazing time meetin people or chatting on forums...if ya react then ya are owning the Toxicity that comes with it.

I never expected it to change my life, maybe just enrich it. I just feel the the negative comments, the thristing and some other aspects can get really toxic when I'm just here to get laid. It may be a lifestyle, but I don't want it to be my only lifestyle

How could a website that facilitates online contact between like-minded people be inherently toxic; bad behaviour is sanctioned and also not tolerated by other members.

There is a wide diversity of people with a wider range of preferences; if Fab doesn't cater for your needs, then use one of the other sites or apps, of which there are many, and which are increasing.

One gets a bit of stick occasionally, but like most things in life, you have to learn to roll with the punches, and adjust to suit this specific contact environment.

In comparison to the other site I had been a member of, Fab suits my current needs. If I thought it is toxic, I would leave!

Because "like-minded" is one of the most overused and most vague phrases on here.

Bad behaviour is certainly not sanctioned and is fully tolerated by some members.

Liberal use of the block button to any toxic negativity. Other than that any forum or sites gonna have the same issues.

Personally I treat it as a way to meet and have fun with great new people. But its not the only outlet in my life. Strike a balance and if your going too far down the rabbit hole take a break.

Everyone's different and only you know yourself. To quote the gambling ads. When the fun stops, stop.

Yeah I feel a certain amount of toxic behaviour is just overlooked or tolerated on here. People get off with lots of nasty shit. I mean with the really high turnover of people and the amount of fakes still trolling the site I guess that's why I feel it's so toxic

That's definitely not OK behaviour if someone isn't interested they aren't interested but then maybe I'm just that well experienced in rejection it's easier to deal with

Definitely have to take here with a pinch of salt, the moments of crap and nasty behaviour doesn't last long, I'm glad Ive made some great friends and if I feel like I'm spending to much time online, I just try and stay clear for a few days.

For the likes of me it’s probably Toxic. Due my circumstances I can’t be active on this but my soul craves it. And it is probably destructive for me. However I left it a few months ago but I came back as I was so bored. I can’t sit down and talk to anyone about my urges and cravings. At least I get to chat here, post naked pics and feel somewhat involved. I’m genuinely jealous of some you and the lifestyle you have. For ye I don’t think it’s destructive. Anyway I pay my few quid to be on here, I treat everyone as if they were sitting beside me so I haven’t become a twat on this.

Plus the bodies on show here are incredible.

I would say yes In some respect. Well then It’s how you view it and how you use it. Like most there are cliques which form and if your part of one clique the other clique don’t want you. This seams to be more so in the socials and party scene its tit for tat with some people. Some people get hassle from having verifications from others as in they go off on a mad one if they display a verification its like well you wont meet me but you met them. Or I wont meet you cause you met them. Or someone saying keep this private and discrete then you see status up of it or hear it from loads of others.

Fab is for finding friends and having fun and not for any drama. If you treat it like that you have fun. If it annoys you log off and come back.

Nothing is worth the stress or letting it get in on your head be it in real life or fab life. And if it does thats a red flag to move away from it.

Life’s too short were here for a good time not a long time

On a site where pseudonyms are obligatory, and the assumption amongst some people is that it is a route to rapid sex, and are then thwarted, rude and abusive behaviour is bound to occur, sometimes; then you may have to develop a 'thicker' skin.

If you can't cope with that, take a break, have a chat with some more long term heads and reassess.

Do NOT let it become an addiction, addiction of any kind is dangerous , like anything really if the fun goes out of things ,stop .

It might be that negative comments or rejection cause your mental health to deteriorate . Alternatively it might be that you not engaging in whatever else you feel you ‘should’ be doing is the problem . So swapping this for another hook up site won’t help.

It’s important to have a routine of pleasant things that you do which make you feel good . If you have that then behaviour a or comment b will wash over you on here

It can be toxic if you let it be, especially for men. There are an abundance of white Knight types that will pounce on any opportunity to talk shit about someone with the hope that they might get the ride out of it.

There are also the assholes that think there are women lining up just for them and then get abusive when they are rejected.

Fab should just be used for a bit of fun, but if you take it too seriously or competitively it can become anything but fun.

So I guess it is as toxic as you allow it to be.

Fab is as toxic as you allow it to be and depends on your involvement and your willingness to avoid drama etc….

Know when to take a break from either meeting, talking, reading, looking or logging on, repeat as required……
