Hear me out... rent out Lusty Beg for a week and run a Nude/Swingers retreat. Full bar. Loads of Cabins. A Spa. Lots of swinging between cabins.

Thoughts? What would be an appropriate amount to charge to cover costs? Would people be interested? Are there any other locations similar?

How far ahead would you need to book the place to get the whole place? How much of a deposit would you need? Your name is on the booking so your liable for any damage etc.

As for keeping it quiet or discreet, if the property owners got wind of it would they let it go ahead? Would the publicity be good or bad for the property?

They accommodate 194 people. So 97 doubles. Let’s say average is £120 per room per night. 97x120 is £11640 per night. For a week you are talking £81,480

Build it and they will come

But if they don’t you are up the creek without a paddle.

You'd have to be completely honest about what's going down I suppose.

I think you'd charge for the week. I think what you'd do is take the deposit to cover the cost of the island.

Loving the numbers though. Ya want in? Lol

We could have entertainment every evening early. And the folks can do what they wish during the day. Fish naked. Naked boat trips. Ride all day and night. It would be bliss.

There are huge places like this in the US, France, etc.

It depends on your reason for doing it. To make a profit, or to have lots of sex yourself? From a business risk point of view, i wouldn't do it on this scale in ireland, but a smaller one, in a VERY private venue might work and make a profit. If you just want to have lots of sex, swinging, go to any of the resorts in Europe for a week and enjoy yourselves. Id say the risk involved in running it in Lusty Beg would be too high, not enough bookings, overheads,etc and you'd be running around trying to keep everybody else happy.

We deffo love this idea maybe a smaller venue and would a weekend be long enough.. we rarely get a week of good weather so to be stuck naked in a house for a week might be a bit risky cabin fever cud set in.. The Shining comes to mind.. lol

Those risks are present at every venue in the country, every weekend. You could get an official events licence and event insurance.

I still do it for charity though.

Trust me when I say organising something of that scale will take a lot of time effort and money. You'll get 1000s of people interested you'll get enough promising that they will definitely turn up etc some will even pay you but will drop out on the day for whatever reason they have.

Ask anyone who's held a party how many stains , damage , breakages or literal poop they've had to deal with after the party ended and you want to rent an island I hope you have public liability insurance for your retreat. I'm not knocking the idea I think we've all had the same idea large super events like swingfields etc but in reality it would be all over the scummy papers within a day and that would be the end of it for most people

I can't see it. The owners almost certainly wouldn't want the association with that kind of thing. The papers would have a field day. It would be SO big that it would be hard to hide for the attendees given the expected media coverage.
