As I wasn't actually fully aware of the reason for Lent, I Googled it.

What aload of manipulative hogwash.

I have not fully taken to lent this year but not sure why I do not fully embrace the Lenten sacrifice. So far my abstinence and self denial are as follows.

1. Each morning I prepare myself a full Irish breakfast the smell of the fry up is divine and when I plate up the food and sit at the table to eat I give thanks for it and then proceed to bin it.

2. Any evening I have been in Dublin I buy myself a ticket for the last train home as usual but instead of getting onto the train I wait on the platform until the train pulls away then I walk home.

3. I went into my local supermarket and filled my trolley with the finest of produce but instead of bring the goodies home I went to the pier and pushed the trolley into the water.

That has been it so far as I do not want to get carried away this year or take it to any extreme level.

I’ve given up meets for lent, so far so good

But if some lady does succeed and lead me into temptation my penance is multi orgasms for the lady , can’t say fairer than that

I’m not Catholic. And I think the concept of lent is hilarious.
