Best one for me was back in 99 in slane, wasn't one I was too keen on going to but got dragged along by the woman I was with at the time but Robbie Williams was electric, pure entertainer had everyone hyped up with his interactions inbetween the songs, still stands out to this day and I've been to a lot of different ones

Robbie Williams at Slane was unreal

But I honestly think the saw doctors at electric picnic for me was one of the best, the whole tent was jumping

I've been 6 times now, but never on my own. I might add that to my bucket list actually.

I love Radiohead , flaming lips , Mercury rev and suede and seeing them Live was superb

But the two bands who overperformed and blew me away were muse at v and Maxïmo Park . The latter went off stage , came back and performed apply some pressure . Transcendental moment really

Sounds sad but Roxette in the Point in Oct 94, first gig with first real girlfriend.

Also was at Robbie Williams in Slane but I think that was toppedby REM in Slane in 95. Oasis we're support and the crowd threw bottles up at Gallagher, he wasn't impressed

He was less impressed with everyone singing Parklife just as they came on stage

Reading 96 will always be the one to beat for me. Rage, Black Grape, Prodigy, Garbage, Ash, Reef, Dodgy, Offspring, Weezer, Stone Roses, Placebo, Kula Shaker...

I remember having my bag all packed, went to school to get my GCSE results on the Thursday then jumping on the train to Reading and having a ball all weekend. Apparently I kicked a friend in the head while crowd surfing to Garbage. Good times

Have to agree. Seen him & them in Coventry 2013. It was I think approx 2wks after James Gandolfini passed away & they dedicated & played all his fav album (& mine) 'Born to Run' Reason being, Steven Van Zandt (who played Silvio Dante in the Soprano's) is in the E street band. It was also (I think) the first tour since Clarence the Sax player had passed, listening to the new saxophonist playing solo on 'Jungle Land' my fav track, brought tears to my eyes.

Linkin park at the rdc. Think it was only the second time they played Ireland. And then slipknot at the 3 arena in 2020 as it was the last gig I went to and the first time Dee saw them.

Was that the year The Verve headlined? Was there myself and like you not by choice, was my sisters 1st gig with a group of her friends but as she was only 16 I had to accompany her or she couldn't go. I wasn't really a fan of The Verve or Robbie Williams but Robbie stole the show that day, so much so that when he returned the following year and headlined the Phoenix Park I bought tickets and went, he certainly was fantastic live on both occasions and really connects with the crowd.

The funny thing is I went to get a burger at Slane and lost my sister (who I was supposed there to mind) for the entire Robbie Williams set lol, eventually found her just as the verve were coming on stage

Prince 2014 Electric Ballroom. Had to queue for 4 hrs, he did 2 shows that night not that we knew at the time. Doors opened & the crown went in, shuffled forward till I was 5 meters when they called out that they were full, but he's doing a 2nd show. 9.00 doors opened again £10 in a bucket & I was in. Amazing night, last time I saw him in stage.

Newry Down

Queen Slane 1986

The crowd right in front of the stage were going mental; Freddie had to stop the show to ask them to calm down.

The production was spectacular; astonishing.

As far as I am aware Michael D was also there in his sandals and open necked shirt.

No it was the year after the Verve had headlined that they brought Robbie back as headline act as he'd seemingly got such a good reaction, Robbie had the sterophonics and David Gray on before him and both them were brilliant too
