I’m always on the look out for new things to read and I love hearing about books people like.

Do you have a favorite book ? Are you reading anything fun at the moment ? Anything you’d like to recommend ? Post below I’d love to hear about them.

I’m almost finished The Joke by Milan Kundera. I think it’s one of the best books I’ve read to date!

Anything by Linwood Barclay, there is always a little twist at the end.

For crime Jo Nesbo (Harry Hole series) is good as is Michael Connelly (Bosch series)

Oh I’m all over the place sometimes! I like science fiction, some horror. Recently I’ve been on a classic binge. I’ve read a lot of Hemingway, JD Salinger, and Ray Bradbury but I’m always trying find books that I might not usually read.

My absolute favourite horror book is Dark Matter by Michelle Paver, its about a fictional 19th century Arctic trip during full dark, it's terrifying.

Apart from that, some other horrors I've loved are Wakenhyrst by Michelle Paver (again), You Let Me In by Camilla Bruce, Rawblood by Caitriona Ward, Song of Kali by Dan Simmons (this one is INTENSE).

I just bought his complete works. His stand out novels are at the mountain of madness, the shadow over innsmouth and the Cthulhu mythos.

My personal favorite is a short story of his based around a ww2 submarine that run out of fuel and is stuck at the bottom of the ocean. It’s called the temple. I’m pretty sure you can read it online for free!

Yes they've quite the anecdotes . They made it into a film (that's on Netflix) a few years back but 'I prefer the book' to use that often quoted expression.

I love my true crime books.

Ill be gone in the dark is on my to read list. I do like the more psychology based books on true crime. What makes them the way they are etc. I must start rebuilding my library.

Ann Rule is also an excellent true crime author. She worked with ted bundy

I’ve heard of the film! Didn’t realise it was based on a book I just thought it was a standalone film !

Have you read Manhunters.(Colin Wilson)

A lot of crime series and netflix series based off the book.

It's about the development of the Behavioural Science Unit at Quantico. Focusing mainly on US serial killers the psychology around them and how profiling helped to find them. Its very good.

One of my all time favourite books is The Throwback by Tom Sharp

Frankly, I gave up reading books a very long time ago, decades ago in fact; my principal interest now is in reading academic journals and accessing specialised databases.

I have never read a novel of any kind, and I love to absorb factual material as it satisfies my insatiable curiosity.

Everyone has their own interests and their own style of acquiring info!

I keep up to date on current issues by reading a quality newspaper almost every day; and The Irish Times Weekend Edition.

For a laugh I occasionally buy The Sunday World or The Sunday Life, which usually contain nothing of any consequence!

Haven't read all of thread but I'd strongly recommend Stephen King - Rose Madder or Dark Half. One is a seriously gripping husband/wife cat and mouse thriller and the other is what I consider to be his most violent story. Guess what? I'm not telling you which is which

Because I believe you will love both
