Agree plenty of eye candy and love the way they put a spin on some of the modern songs

The drama!!

The intrigue!!

The backstabbing!!

The passive aggressive insults!!

The delusional trying desperately to scrabble their way to the top of the shitheap!!

It's as thrilling as fab!!

Is it as good as Downton

"Is it as good as Downton "

It's very different, a frothy concoction set over a century earlier and featuring actors of different races. I don't think it has any real pretensions of historical accuracy it's all about the drama and intrigue, with a few steamy romps thrown in to attract modern audiences who are apparently excited by a flash of nipple or naked arse.

It's different, it's entertaining, I don't think Downton is any masterpiece, they're both watchable

I was so unbelievably hungover yesterday after a king Saturday so it was like chicken soup. So much fun and easy on the brain.

No. It’s very pretty but very vacuous. Downton had a lot more to it, which doesn’t say much for Bridgerton. Series one is like soft porn. Did he cum? Didn’t he? Ooooo intrigue!!!

I actually prefer it to Downton! I think Downton is too serious, I love how much fun Bridgerton is. Don't get me started on Anthony's Mr D'Arcy moment, the fanny flutters were unreal ha ha

I thought it was great entertainment, binged it over the weekend. Couldnt wait for the viscount and ms sharma to get it on, the build up was so intense

In general though there was less sex in this series compared to the first?? More sex not less would have been better!

The first episodes are strange, didn't like it initially either. It's not what people expect, the Queen isn't white, the royal servants are elegantly dressed black men.

I love the way modern music is infused into it too.

The scheming the women get up to is probably the only normal thing in it!!
