"Was that on here? Report that for sure. Oftentimes this attitude is out of fear and misunderstanding. Thankfully ireland is changing. Back in the day many people wouldn't really have had much opportunity to get to know peoole of other cultures. Hopefully the younger generations here now will have a more varied upbringing and will have a lot less ignorance. | |||

"My kids in primary school, older end, only ever refer to their schoolmates by name. Then I meet them and it's a completely multicultural bunch of nationalities and skin colour. 20yrs ago, there would have been a description/skin colour to differentiate the names, as I heard my niece's/nephews do so back then, without any racial intent, they were just "clarifying" it for the adults. Brilliant to see that young kids today don't see a classification of colour/nationalities
Sorry OP, not derailing, just highlighting that it's changing for the good."Thats is the beauty about Ireland...and m proud that m irish now....the place where i work 99% of the staff are native irish (not even single person from any European country either) except me...and the way they treat me..people dnt even treat there parents in india lol....being loved by everyone and its great feeling when when someone makes you feel special....such incident happens...no complains...the motive of this post has been served the person probably regretting by now.... | |||
