With so many social media now days its hard to keep up. To me they all do the same thing why you need more than one is beyond me.

One I realy don't get is tick toc. I know guys in there 40s and 50s spend all day on it.

Anyone else find these things the same as me.. Just can't get why people get so caught up in them.

Or maybe I'm just out of touch with it all

I dont even have Snapchat and Insta or what not!couldn't care less

WhatsApp, kik,and fab do me im easily confused

I don't have FB, Snap, Insta or TikTok

Very occasionally use kik before a meet

And I only listen to one news bulletin each day at 6am when I wake up

Now and then we do TikTok's with the kids, usually with some silly dance routine. The latest one was 'the Griddy' (look it up). TikTok is full of kids making fools of their parents (and priceless memories) so I wouldn't knock it at all

I deactivated my FB. Reactivate it now and again just for a quick nose. Zero interest in Tik Tok...about 20 years too old for it I reckon, ha. Snapchat I have but barely use. Instagram I use for good and bad pics of me and everything else, although the bot comments on most posts are hysterical. Kik I have but only really use in conjunction with Fab. Newstalk the way to go I reckon

Nah,had FB myself but the time wasted was ridiculous!

Never had SC or Insta or Twitter, though I do admit to joining Twit just this week as GT7 is out and I need a PS5

Other than that, Kik, WhatsApp and Fab keep me busy as it is. Oh! Need to mention, for anyone over 40, DO NOT download Galaxiga to your phone! That fecker will steal 2hrs a day, the little bassa!

Tik Tok is great craic when it knows the videos you like and the algorithm kicks in. It has been very informative throughout the Ukrainian invasion with some very harrowing footage. Twitter is great if you want live up to date news feed of an event, tragedy, sporting event.

Haven’t done FB in 10 years but imo this site is very similar to FB only with naked pics

It’s all about using the social media app to your wants….some people don’t realise this

Use Facebook, insta, Twitter and tik tok. Barely on Facebook (comment section in most parts are pure toxic entitlement) apart from a few groups I'm in. Instagram is great for following friends and family away from Ireland. Twitter I use for a mix of interests but mainly for the Irish fascists and their stupidity. Tik tok is just braindead fun for me.

I've experienced things some of you would only dream about. I have WhatsApp, Instagram, fb, Snapchat & tik tok because I have friends and relatives all over the planet so that's how we keep in contact. If kik and fab is all you have I suggest you get out and live your life a bit and by the way people need to get a sence of humour and take a joke and laugh now and again its good for your health

Yep and I've experienced things that would give you nightmares but that has nothing to do with a need to share everything with everyone. So far everyone has shown a sense of humour in this thread.

That's great well done if that makes you happy then that's all that matters.

But why the need to jibe at others who don't use those apps and to presuame just because they don't they have no sense of humour or are miserable.Seems kind of sad really to jump to that conclusion because they choose not to use apps you use ,it also does not mean they just use Kik and fab.

My life is actually full of happiness and humour a lot of the time. I use other apps to help keep in touch with family and friends I don't see often. I also actually chat to them when I can.That suits me and I don't care if it doesn't suit anyone else if I'm honest.

I bloody love SM. Facebook is a fantastic medium for support groups and staying in touch with distant family and friends around the world. I don’t really get IG and Twitter confuses the shite out of me. TT is a brilliant resource for recipes and tip and tricks and it’s so easy to while away hours on it.
