Return profiles looking for veris

What’s the general consensus on this?

I get a lot of requests for repeat verifications after a profile I previously met returns after a break. I don’t mind doing not if I’ve been in touch with them or they were a particularly fun person.

I just said no to someone for a very good reason but FFS I’m getting so many now.

South Dublin Area

I wouldn't unless you plan on meeting them again even socially.

What craics me up is people who ask for a veri even though they haven't left you one.

That's bizarre carry on all together

I gave one to a guy last year that had rejoined, he has since deleted and rejoined and asked but I refused as I've heard a few things since

I can see both sides here. Wanting to get back in the mix quick if you’ve been away. But it states that if you leave you loose your verifications. So think long and hard about deleting a profile.

It takes time to write a verification and if you are getting loads then it’s going to get annoying and time consuming.

I suppose understand if you are returning and don’t get offended if someone says no.

That’s my 2c for what it’s worth.

I don’t care about getting them. I have enough. I have some really amazing ones from people I utterly adore and I’m clearly who I say I am.

But the audacity to ask for a repeat veri when you turned into a dickhead??

Well if they turned into a dickhead they don’t deserve a repeat verification.

Yeah. This.

And I didn’t know it says you lose them if you leave. If that’s stated, then it’s good.

“ Verifications from users who have left Fab won't show below.”

I may have read it wrong. If someone leaves their verification of you won’t show.

However if they delete the old account and set up a new one it makes sense that they won’t have any verifications.

Agree on leaving them back too. If someone verifies you then it is good manners to do the same.

I suppose just go with your gut Red. If they left for genuine reasons like a new relationship and they were sound out then i'd probably do them a favour and re-verify, but you certainly don't owe them one. Mrs

“Total cockwomble”. I literally have tears streaming down my face. Quote of the day. Definitely deserving of an award.

My biggest issue with it is that some are just pretending to be someome. I normally ask them a question about the event I met them at (or some such) just to be sure I'm not leaving a veri for an imposter.

I've left 3 times and never asked for a veri from anyone when I returned. Half of my current verifications have left and most of those have never returned but the few that have, didn't ask me to reverify them.

One did however verify me from a new profile but I didn't display it as it was a complete fabrication and none of what she said actually happened.

If it's someone I've known for a while I would consider verifying them but not if it's someone who leaves again every couple of months.

Somewhere in Co. Down

I've done it a few times for people who have left as come back especially if they were someone I liked and got on with

But I have had one guy who I met for a coffee and was sound enough but he keeps leaving and returning. I told him the last time I wasn't writing him anymore I think 3 times is enough to have to write a Veri for one person especially for what was just a social I also had to tell him to stop writing me a veri everytime he returned.

There has been a few I refused to write a Veri for when they returned as they were people I had regretted writing one for in the first place.

Now I won't unless it is someone I know well and I got in with them really well. I know I wouldn't for someone I may have only met for a brief coffee years ago tho .

It is annoying. There are brave few culprits who keep doing this every few months.

Next time someone does it I'll write something along the lines of:

"Met them in person, they're real and okay to be around.

This veri is shite because they keep deleting their profile and I can't be arsed writing something creative every time they decide to rejoin"

I noticed a new unverified male profile 2 weeks ago and realised he organised my first meet with him and a female friend.

I offered him a veri because My first meet was such an eye opener and great fun and helped me on the way on fab.

Its a use your discretion kinda situation, as usual on fab.

But repeat offenders asking multiple times put you in the awkward position of you having to put the foot down. You could tell them you will no longer enable their on-again off-again fab relationship!!!

Why delete a profile with verifications when you can hide it and come back later?

Just have it somewhere on your profile that you don't re- verify , that way if you see a member who has returned you can message them in peace if you want to re-verify them and therefore you won't be constantly asked .

This is my third reincarnation but I wouldn't go around nagging people to verify me. I just ask one or two of my close Fab friends to give me that first verify to get me started but then some people are kind enough to give me welcome back verify. I do get asked a lot to verify people I've met in the past and it all depends on the person. If it's someone from ages ago or someone who turned out to be cock womble they won't be getting one.

People I have never heard of regularly ask me for repeat veries even though I have never heard of them.

Scarily they can describe details about my house and fluffy white dog and odd cat saying they have been here, sometimes much more than once

Don't ask me how they know these things

Watch yourselves peeps

It depends how long ago it was and if I'd want to meet them again.

Your verification is telling people that they're 'good people' if you can't still stand by that then I wouldn't leave it.

Meet them for a social so that you can confirm it. It you don't want to meet for a social, then thats your answer

Back when i was a single girl I returned with my second single profile I never asked to be reverified. I did get few people I met in the past leave me verifications so I left another as well if they liked. But I would never ask. But again not hard for a single girl to be able to find a meet.

I wouldn't re verify anyone unless they were someone I had a really good connection with..but each to their own.

..I view verifications with a pinch of salt they say everything and nothing at the same time.

Some are funny and can be ridiculous as well, some of the descriptions people use lol.. and some realy reek of desperation...

I come from a school of never kiss and tell ....Never!!

Verifications are still new to me I forget about it most of the time
