There is no app. It's a mobile version of the desktop page on your browser

No idea why the site itself advertises it as an App when it's not

Cause it sounds much cooler calling it App rather than Mobile Version of the website

Imagine the effort they'd actually have to put in to convert it to an app

It used to be a note on the desktop version, don't know if it's still there or not.

Might be preferable to improve the website first

And odds of that happening are zero to none!

They'd have to have a lot of security measures in place for an app, I imagine it could get expensive.

The mobile version is essentially an app. Create a shortcut to your homescreen and Bob's your uncle. They can't make it an official app as both the Apple and Google stores wouldn't list it for legal reasons - SDC tells you this on their site.

If you are inactive for over a certain time period it logs you out something like 30 seconds, frustrating when you are typing a message or forum post and press send only to be told to log in again, losing the message you just created
